You is the worst POV. I treat fan fics like I treat books. With Harry Potter we didn't read it as 'you' either, didn't we? lol. It is sooo sooo awkward to use 'you', because chances are big your readers do not identify themselves as the 'you'. I know I never do. Third person is always best no matter what. 'You' and '_____' are the worst, imo. LMAO. Sorry. Can't take those stories seriously. The advantage of third person and using names for characters is that it doesn't matter which gender reads it. I know guys like to read girl x girl too, but if the pov is from a girl's perspective, chances are guys won't read it as they can't relate to the you character.
