For Author. Regarding Comment(s).

I'm wondering what authors think about story comment(s).
I know many authors prefer reader to leaves comments on their stories rather than just giving upvote or only subscribe. That's why I want to ask what if it's the opposite.
Do you mind if your reader only leaves comments on your stories and nothing else?


Note : I didn't include upvote and subscribe because for some readers, upvote was only for stories they really really loved or stories that had amazing plots. And for subscribe, some readers subscribe only as notifications if there's an update for ongoing stories or because the story is subscribers-only.

I prefer comments, better than upvote tbh... makes it feel more 'connected', more personal, more awarding... can't get enough of it... it might not be too supportive, might be too simple or cliche, whatever... i soooo love it

Anything baking the lines, pretty simple, takes less than a minute to say so. Or pointing out if anything that made you laugh. Just few words make the writer's day.

@AllforSoo Yeah I noticed that too. When I read a story, regardless of me loving it or just thinking it's okay, I try to leave at least one comment because I think a lot of authors feel that comments are getting rare. I mean it doesn't take much time to write one and to say "oh I like how you did this" or "your writing is really good"

@-FruitsAreBeautiful- Comments are really rare these days. Then I see lots of long comments on certain writer's stories. But I don't see the same people commenting on other stories. I read alot, so am pretty observent. I wish they comment on every story they read instead of being selective of certain writers. I feel that way.

I noticed that the people who comment on my stories are usually the same. Like, they comment every new chapter of a story and usually are already subscribed. I appreciate upvotes but I love reading comments, because they are so rare these days (at least I feel like that) and getting one (except "please update soon" even though I uploaded a new chapter only minutes ago) is very exciting.
