Any refreshing (and well-written) story that isn't predictable?

I just browsed and looked around for a bit, but I couldn't find anything that met my standards.
Perhaps you guys have golden recommendations?
Preferably something between 15 and 25 chapters maybe? (regular chapter sizes, of course)

Preferably straight stories, but if you think the or yuri story is really epic I am willing to try :)

It's an exo fanfic and there's a couple of cute scenes but I swear the ending is so sad.

Damn, forgot the “enter key to send”-thing. Anyway, the fic below is EXO, it’s kind of long but it is amazing! There’s no romance so far, I don’t think there’s gonna be any (straight or gay) but ... it’s a hidden gem in my opinion.
