There were users complaining about advertisers spamming their walls. It's just so it can be reduced. Honestly, though I don't mind spam on AFF. They bring me to pretty good stories and graphic shops. But if they give a link to a suspicious site that's when you shouldn't do it :P

It's to reduce spam, mostly. I'll be honest... I apparently had this without knowing it though, so it could just be that they're oblivious like me and didn't realize that their profile is set that way.

Mostly spamming. But as someone who advertises on walls, I find that more than half of the walls I post on don't charge. So, that's good for me, right? XD

Some people don't like to have their walls flooded with spam or messages like "thanks for subbing". I know I don't.

I do it because I get tired of being spammed with RP Ads. Might as well make some KPOP if people are going to spam walls. I -don't- close my wall in case I find an rp I might like or if someone wants to chat with me.

yeah like what everyone has mentioned so far, it was to lessen the unwanted and constant spam of ads for users that didn't like it.

It was a feature introduced to the site to help cut down on spam and unwanted adverts on users' walls (especially since lots of the people posting the spam and unwanted adverts didn't bother to read requests not to advertise on people's walls that might have been in statuses etc).

I'm pretty sure it's to lessen the amount of rp ads posted on your wall. thats why i do it
