Can a beta reader view hidden chapters

I am writing a fic, and I want to hire a beta reader. But how does beta reading work
I am aware that we have to request for a beta reader and then we get applications, then we have to accept them.
Can they view hidden chapters. If not, how can they beta read. Also, if anyone has knowledge about this, can advise.

@Emilieee How to add a beta reader? am trying to have one for my stories but I can't found any bottom for that :/

It's called a beta, but when you actually add them, they're a coauthor, so yes, they can view it (and if you're ever unable to do so, they can publish it for you too).

@fanficliker Oh, no. It's like the previous user said. You should make them 'co-author'. That's how you give them the permission. :)

The beta reader is a user like you and everyone else here, so if you give them the permission they will be able to see them. :)

They can see them if they are co-author of the story
