English names for SHINee members

Hi. I'm writing a new story (involving SHINee, obviously) and I tend to use English names instead of Korean names, simply because I love it. :D However, I can't find official names for SHINee members. I found this tho...

I'm thinking of choosing any name that sounds good to me. Or should I just stick to their Korean names?

@mirrue It's cool. Btw Taemin does have a catholic name if you didn't know, it's Francesco, he doesn't use it but he's mentioned it a bit. I don't remember if the others have any I know at least one other member has one but I'm having trouble remembering. Nit sure if that helps, Sorry if it doesn't.

@LocketyLover_Bunny My mistake. Anyway, my point is I'm gonna use the name Jinki, Jonghyun, Kibum, Minho and Taemin.

@mirrue Key and Onew are the only ones with stage names though... Jonghyun, Minho and Taemin don't have stage names. So your comment doesn't make sense.

I've decided to use their stage names, except for Key and Onew, I'll use their real names Kibum and Jinki. Thank you so much for all of your thoughts. I don't really have a reasonable reason for the name changing XD (probably because I'm focusing more on writing a story than writing a fanfic). I really appreciate your time in this discussion :DD -throws confetti and run away-

What reason do you have for changing their names? Outside of the fact that you like it, of course?
The only names I would ever read that wasn't their real names would be the names they made up in their fanmeets in the US and I can't even remember Minho and Jinki's right now.
None of their names are hard to pronounce so even in a foreign setting (that isn't South Korea) going by their full names make sense. So I would 100 % advice you to stick to their actual full names.

But - do as you please. ^^;

it's confusing if you use different names if there's no good reason behind it, i'm reading an ongoing story where the author change the family name of Mark and it's bothering me so i just ask in the comment if she has any reason behind it, and she said she does so yeah i'll look forward to the reason.
i recommend to use real names

I'll be honest and say that I dislike (possibly even hate, unless there's a good reason) the usage of stage names (or other English names) in fics. It's quite a bit of a turn-off when I click a fic and see the stage names used instead of their actual Korean names (or Chinese or whatever). I agree with BlackPolish below; it's okay, if given a reason, if A and the other characters say A's English or whatever name in dialogue, but is referred to by his Korean (or whatever) name in narrative. I'm fine with that.

However. I usually tell writers to do whatever they damn please, because it's, well, their right, really. If you want to write English names, do it. There are people out there who will read it and love it, for sure.

I don't think using any of the names in the blog post will do you any good, since most of us probably never had a moment when we referred to Minho as, let's say, Elias. I believe you should stick to their actual names, as in, Onew will be Lee Jinki and Key will be Kim Kibum.

It depends, personally I find it quite confusing when I read about my idols but the writer doesn't use their korean name or official english name. Unless you like have the dialogue where you use the english name but outside the dialogue you still use the korean name and specify he chose to introduce himself as Isaac Lee (XD) because this and that reason. Lol Isaac, I can't imagine dubu as Isaac hahaha
