Myungsoo who makes him laugh, who is dorky and surprisingly, endearingly clumsy despite his handsome appearance, and… He loves Myungsoo. He does. But somehow, he has these… not-feelings about Woohyun.

He used to be somewhat close to Sunggyu – leader, colleague, roommate, and whatever else he was. Nowadays, it’s like there’s a gulf between them, Woohyun barely managing to tolerate Sunggyu patting his shoulder, and when Sunggyu hugs him, Woohyun has to grit his teeth to keep his smile and avoid flinching. (Smile. For the fans.)

whistle, whistle, whistle! Such is the life of a lifeguard. At Woollim Country Club's pool, this is no different. With the exception of one thing. 2 managers, 2 lifeguards, 3 chefs. Totally drool worthy. Totally worth wasting hours at the pool just to order food and watch. Oh, and did anyone mention the drama that happens here?

“Wait, could I have a little spoon please?” Rubbing his eyes again, Howon tries to blink his drowsiness away while he watches the waiter set down Jinae’s cake. “Sure,” the waiter answers once all the orders are arranged neatly on the table, bowing his head a little as he walks away. Howon expects him to leave to get the spoon, but instead he feels arms lightly embracing him from behind.

“Sorry, what did you say?” Hoyeon asks sleepily, blinking her eyes open. “…nothing,” Woohee replies softly, but she tucks her head lower, and Hoyeon knows she’s not telling the truth. “Okay… You know you can tell me anything right,” Hoyeon tries to coax. She’s never been very good with this. The talking bit.

“We were just thinking,” Hoya says, his voice suddenly low and a little gravelly, “that it was really fun to blow party blowers in your face during the fanmeeting just now.” Woohyun gulps a little. (It’s not because of Hoya’s voice, he swears.) “Except of course,” Sungyeol continues, voice even lower and way too close to Woohyun’s ear, though his lips don’t actually touch Woohyun, “it’ll be even more fun doing this without the party blowers.” “…what?”

Woohyun was perplexed. Why does Howon keep implying or mentioning my birthday without actually wishing me? Have I misunderstood him?
