After years of having to travel abroad for studies, magical students in Korea had finally got a school to themselves. In year 2000, 3 powerful wizards, Lee Sooman, Yang Hyunsuk and Park Jinyoung came together and built Hanguk Magic Institute(HMI). The three alumni of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry created an education environment catered to Korean magical children while modelling it after Hogwarts.
