Balance is important. Where there is love, there is hate; where there is good, there is evil; where there is a person frowning, there is a person smiling; where there is life, there is death. This is the story of how I stopped smiling, and how I lost myself in the process of twisting my lips into a grin, because even the ones with the brightest smiles may have haunting fears. This is the story of how I told myself: 'You aren't special' - and how I corrected myself along the way.  

How could I even bear to hear that? As a mother, who could ever let go of her only son like that?   When you made up your mind, you shattered my heart in a million pieces...   Too often I asked the question 'Why' and too often, silence answers me.
