The walls of St. John's Mental Asylum are about to answer one simple question: what is more dangerous than the insane mind? The sane one, of course.  

Chou Tsushima is just a Japanese- American reporter looking to go undercover and write a story about patients living in mental hospitals. However, when she is sent to the BTS Psychiatric Hospital for the Criminally Insane and meets the seven boys already there and their disturbing stories, she gets more than she bargained for.

Living as a mentally unstable insane patient isn't easy. Nobody ever wanted to be here. Not even you. The feeling of being lonely and useless...the feeling of no freedom and sadness has come to you. And this, this is like a chain. A chain you will be running on your entire life. Why? Because people tell you you have no hope..

I hear voices in my head. Not all the time though, just sometimes. It's like when you're about to fall asleep and there's a television playing in the background. Except I'm not sleeping, I'm awake, and I don't have a television. The voices aren't cruel or harsh. They're like friends. They keep me company. They keep me company in this place they call "haven," in this place with no windows and a door that can only be opened from the outside, in this asylum.
