DEVELOPING KOREAN, 50% becoming a trainee who had to move to korea in a korean entertainment agency, not to mention one of the biggest in the industry, it's only natural that she has to learn the language spoken in south korea. she learns from native korean trainees she had to live together with in the dormitory and through intensive korean language classes. unlike several people she knows like lucas aka huang xuxi aka wong yukhei, she pays attention in those classes and often expresses her desire to improve her spoken korean. she gets a lot of help from those around her and right now, can understand most sentences (though, she has limited vocabulary) and can speak with an acceptable pronounciation and slight accent.

as she started training for her debut , she was put into a strict diet much like many female idols have done before. this results in her current weight being below the normal weight bmi. she has never dyed her hair all her life and even as a trainee, she's not really interested. it's the same for her lack of interest towards additional piercings that comes from her slight fear of the pain. she has standard lobe piercings on both ears but she's had that done upon birth. her long natural dark hair was below shoulder length the entire time she was a trainee and was often tied into a ponytail during practice. if not practicing, her hair will be let down.
over the years, she'll experience dying her hair in all sorts of colors with names she doesn't even know and also cutting her hair short or concealing her short hair with hair extensions or clip ins. she'll eventually cave in and challenge herself with adding a second lobe piercing on both ears (left and right) but that's it for more piercings. perhaps, three years into her debut, she'll try ink. she'll dicover that she likes to get tattoos and the tattoos she has will total to six in total. BACKGROUND
tian yue was born and raised in the city of shanghai, china's biggest city and a global financial hub. even now, her mother works as a theater director while her father is an architecture. since she was young, she was enrolled in piano lessons. yue surprised her parents even more when she could easily master playing her mother's old guitar. yue used music to relief her stress. on weekends, she warmed up her fingers and body by playing her piano. she naturally started to sing along to the harmonies she was playing on the piano. once, she even made a short piano song for her mother's birthday. she felt comfortable and at ease when she's playing the piano or singing. this led to her wanting to make this her career in some way. that's why in high school, she was the keyboardist in a band who wrote songs for the band. if she recalls correctly, the band was called "strong love" or some other name she doesn't wish to reveal out of embarrassment.
as her parents still valued education as an important factor in her life, yue decided to enroll in the beijing contemporary music academy, specifically in the music media institute. she was delighted to get the permission to pursue a degree in music and more so, the chance to live independently in beijing. yue would've never considered moving to beijing if it weren't to pursue music and she was glad that she decided to try living in a different environment. though it was difficult that she was apart from her parents, she became stronger and learned more about how to take care of herself and how to adapt to new surroundings. she wouldn't have it any other way.
it was just another ordinary day for her when she was scouted outside her academy in 2017. she had just finished her classes and headed back to her living space. just a few meters away from the academy main gate, a scouting manager started to try and talk to her about auditioning. she rejected because it seemed really shady but once the scout gave her a business card with the sm entertainment logo, she couldn't help but have second thoughts. the scouting manager gave her the last reminder about the audition date and location before leaving her to contemplate on it. she knew sm entertainment for being super junior and exo's agency, her personally being a big fan of henry lau because of his personality. she knew this was big. a scouting manager from such a big agency came up to her personally and asked her to audition. she wondered if this was a sign but she was hesitant.
in the end, she decided to take part in the sm global auditions in beijing after her mother gave her opinion on the concern to yue. her mother told her to go to the audition and try her luck rather than she spent the rest of her life regretting and wondering what would've happened if she did go. she passed the global auditions and shortly after, she ended up joining sm entertainment that year. the rest that happened to yue was history.

as tcg is the main sister group of nct, many would wonder how yue's chemistry with the actual members of nct are.
members she's most closes to are nct dream's china line, RENJUN and CHENLE. they are her little brothers and RENJUN would often express how much support he and CHENLE get from yue.
from the korean members, she's very comfortable with JOHNY, YUTA, TAEIL, JAEHYUN, TAEYONG, and DOYOUNG because they had already been training for some time when she entered so they were pretty chill around her and made it easier for her to adapt and she interacts with them often. to her, they're a fun bunch of guys.
she enjoys being with funny people because she likes to be entertained and laugh so she didn't expect that JUNGWOO would be an even funnier guy than LUCAS. when JUNGWOO was taking chinese mandarin classes, she'd help correct his pronounciation for him before he goes off to a burst of jokes that makes her laugh.
from all the dream members, she pretty much babies all of them, especially JENO, HAECHAN, and JISUNG. she entered sm ent. when JAEMIN went on hiatus for his injury so they did share several interactions at the time. MARK and her get along just fine, taking note that he seems to not call her by "noona". he says it's a habit from when they were trainees as they agreed to be friends since back then.
the newly added member SUNGCHAN trained alongside her so she's quite familiar with him and who he is as a person. so, to be honest, she's scared of him because he seems to be on another level than even jungwoo. SHOTARO is a new face even amongst the trainees and went straight to preparing his debut so she lacks interactions with him to know who he is but one thing's for sure, the boy can dance.

during her training, yue was glad to have cross paths with MIN CHAEYEON and KIM MINHUI.
MINHUI was one of the korean trainees who helped her establish or adapt herself in the new environment as a fellow trainee. she is wholesome, to yue, and she takes care of yue like the sweet thing she is.
MINCHI is a younger trainee who managed to become one of the few girls who she became friends with. they bond easily as yue is just babbying her giant baby min chaeyeon around and chaeyeon (yue still can't get used to calling her anything else) thinks of yue as one of her moms.
though she is not as close to THE DEBUTED TCG MEMBERS, yue cherishes all of her members the same way equally. she doesn't have a sibling herself so she's glad for the "babies" and the "oldies" to become a part of her second family in tcg.

yue is noticably very comfortable being around KUN, WINWIN, TEN and LUCAS. the three of them had already become used to training at sm. ent and welcomed her into the scenes. do not put her and TEN in the same room for too long, it'll only lead to nonstop laughter. KUN and WINWIN are her trustworthy and nice brother figures.
LUCAS is her loud and crazy younger brother figure who actually has a serious side to him she's never going to get used to. if she and ten were joined by lucas in the same room, she'll never stop laughing.
after the four people above made their debuted as nct members in 2018, she started to bump into XIAOJUN, HENDERY, and YANGYANG quite often at the practice room and korean classes more often. the three are a rather fun trio to be around with. yue's motherly instincts are activated around them and she's doing exactly what kun and winwin did to her. she wants to be seen as a reliable big sister.
she and the wayv members support each other. as she was still a trainee during wayv's debut, she often texts them, saying that she saw their mv and gave them her support. the wayv members often reply with motivational texts (in ten and lucas' case, a mere emoji) that gives her strength to train for her debut. she's still very close to the four members of wayv she was close to as trainees and out of the newer faces, xiaojun (who is her counterpart) is the one she talks to the most.

TWO-TONE HONEY VOICE as there is a warm tone and cool tone, she is a bit of both. from her appearance that may seem a bit cold, comes a warm-toned voice in her vocal ability. her members advertise her voice as "honey voice" that just melts your eardrums and heals them in a sense. the whole phrase defines what she is capable of so she's content with it. in correlation with her seemingly cold appearance, the agency did advice her to keep her cool at all times but of course, fans love the duality she has.

STARTING ANEW she had came into this new environment nervous, scared and unprepared for what's ahead. everything was new and foreign but several warm welcomes from other trainees really helped. she hung out with other female trainees a lot, though she was also seen tagging along wherever the chinese male trainees went. she worked hard to catch up and improve herself. she was discovering new sides of her that she never thought she had. she found out that she was never made for dancing. she never danced before her training and had to be able to invent her own color of dancing. she was noted for her vocals, thankfully and that resonated in her mind as turns out, all those years of lessons didn't go to waste. learning a lot about songwriting, she also ended up making a song with xiaojun and kun that may never be exposed to the outside world.
EDUCATION & DIET she did have to go back and forth to complete her education at the music media institute of the beijing contemporary music academy. she successfully graduated in the year of 2019. as for diets, she tried all sorts of ways to lose weight. at first, she had a culture shock as to the definitions of "skinny" and "slim" in the agency. she tried her best to lose weight to a certain number on the scale. she lost weight easily, although the maintenance to constantly stay on that number was hard. considering that she had to do a lot of vigorous physical activities through dance, she found it much easier to rest or sleep and drink lots of water instead of filling her stomach with food. she distanced herself from cravings.

REACTION TO DEBUT she was glad, excited and relieved. she never thought she'd be debuting in tcg, seeing as this would mean that she'd be added into the group. then, she became worried. what would tcg fans react? what would critics or her senior idols see her? how will she fit in with the overall group? being a debuted idol was different from being an announce sm rookie. those different feelings mixed into one confusing ball of feels.
IDOL LIFE as a member of yueshenp, she's always in her studio, trying to create music of her own in the hopes that someday, the agency will give the green light to adding her creations to the album. another thing was that she was always really strict with her self-care and self-development. eating healthy and lean, spending a lot of time in the gym working out different parts of her body, reading different novels, listening to podcasts, and resting whenever needed. she's taking her job as an idol seriously and her yueshenp and tcg members alike acknowledge how much yue takes care of others around her even in the process of caring for herself.

"lay, zhang yixing (sunbaenim) was even able to perform at lollapalooza and was able to chart on billboard! bazzi co-written and co-composed one of his songs, too. he's really out there, representing china. also, i look up to snsd's taeyeon (sunbaenim). her singing techniques and emotions are a different level from the rest. i want to be able to reach that level."

FAT KUN she was watching that nct 2018 china line v-live when lucas called kun "fat kun" and yue and lucas would never let the nickname die out so yue would sometimes with the nickname. kun would only flash an enduring smile every time he tries to play along with the joke as he tells her, "i can't believe lucas has gotten into you too, yue." but honestly, if it's yue, he can handle it.
KUN KUN, KUN-GE, XIAODAN, DANDAN several nicknames created by those around him. the variety and number of different nicknames kun has leads to yue calling him all of these nicknames all the time. she was mostly influenced by the nct and wayv members who were the ones who first started calling him these different nicknames. the one she uses the most is "kun-ge" in response of kun calling her "meimei".

qian kun is perhaps the nicest guy you'd ever meet. you'll want to have him by your side as he's a very likeable person. the wayv members highlight his live-and-let-live attitude paired with open-mindedness. his passion and dedication to his career is one that deserves to be admired. as the oldest in the wayv bunch, he puts in a lot of effort to make sure that every voice and perspective is considered and is able to find unconventional ways to solve a problem. he always encourages others to do what they think is right, giving those around him his support in the form of words or actions. he carries a lot of warmth inside him, after all.
as he gravitates to listen to the voices and perspectives of those around him, he loses the timing to listen to himself and ends up giving more than he is able to. he's always there to push others to do their best and to pat them in the back when in fact, his own back needs to be patted too. he is so in tune with emotions and morality, and when the facts and data contradict his ideas, it can be a real challenge for him to accept. his insecurities, doubts and privacy grew as he continues to bear the burdens and title of a public figure. it leads him to shield himself as it stems from the guilt and worry he secretly feels for not giving more of himself to those he care about.

LOVE STORY
FIRST MEETING they met each other as trainees at sm entertainment. kun was rather shy around other female trainees and preferred to stick around the other guys more. he didn't avoid interaction, but they were of the minimum amount. they shared formal introductions during the first few days of yue's training. the eureka moment that led them to get along came when they figured out that they both actually attended (in yue's case, at the time, is attending) the beijing contemporary music academy. kun felt comfortable quicker than his usual pace and yue figured that it was great that she knew someone nice like kun.
THE MAIN PLOT seeing as she is a demiromantic, yue is only capable of becoming attracted to someone after she forms a tight bond with them. she doesn't develop crushes or catches feelings as easily as those around her do and she's fine with that as she's always been confused at the whole , crushes, and attraction thing. being two foreigners of the same nationality in a foreign country, kun and her became close friends easily due to their occasional homesick moments and the fact that they are going throuugh similar hardships. he became quite the brother figure she could rely on. as time goes by, kun would be the one to secretly catch feelings first. although, he is confused whether it is a romantic attraction or just "jeong", the warm feeling of attachment felt between people who share a close relationship. at the same time, yue would start to wonder if she has no ability to fall in love, seeing as she doesn't act like her other members when they catch feelings for someone. considering both of their personalities, the two could be a compatible match but they forget to take care of a lot of their own thoughts and feelings for the sake of others and even if anyone else can tell that the both of them are attracted to each other. in yue's case, attracted to kun's personality rather than physical features. they need to step their game if they want to break away from that grey area because who knows what can happen between them.
INTERACTIONS it's evident that kun cherishes her deeply as the year she graduated from the beijing academy, kun treated her to a meal. the same goes to yue as she treated him to some hotpot after he's confirmed to be a part of nct 2018. they show their care and attention to each other through meals and texts. soft kun becomes a softer kun around yue and from a third person view, there's just something about how kun acts and talks to her that just screams suspicious. yue is her usual self, but noticeably shows more smile and uses a softer voice around the older kun. they always tease each other but there are times when they can have sharing sessions.
