she stands at a hundred and seventy cm, weighs only a little above forty-nine kilos, she swears she's not being forced on a diet or anything and it's simply the fact that it's hard for her to gain weight. sharp, icy features; haneul is thought of as eyecatching at most.

haneul's fashion is divided into two moods: hot goth girlfriend and boyfriend material. one end of the scale is full of crop tops, plaid skirts, skinny jeans, fishnets and combat boots. the other end is full of oversized hoodies, flannels, silk button-ups and vans.

Background 

haneul is the first child of two; she has a brother who's younger by two years. her mother is a hr manager and her father is the general manager of a construction company. you can say she has a wealthy background, enough to afford yearly visits to new york to see her mother's family. she never really had any financial struggles and she's close to both parents as well as her brother, so haneul knows how blessed she is.

having always been interested in literature, haneul went from writing poems to attempts of writing lyrics when she was around twelve years old. she didn't believe in her abilities to sing at the time (especially when she had many of her friends who claimed they could sing) so she found an interest in rapping instead. at that young age, she listened to a lot of k-hiphop artists, realising that maybe she had found what she wished to do for the rest of her life.

haneul's closest friend in nct and probably in the entire idol world. a major key in their friendship would be geeking over space and conspiracy theories at 3 in the morning and playfully threatening to have a fist fight, but their bond runs much deeper than that could be seen. renjun's the one person haneul would ever open up to; to her, he always knows what to say and how to say it, there's something comforting in his presence that she can't find with anyone else. they're best friends who have each other memorized and could spend hours talking on the phone about everything or nothing at all.

haneul's least favourite (jk). they've been tom and jerry since their early days as trainees; put a mischievous donghyuck and a naive haneul in the same room and you'll hear two children fighting immediately. lots of bickering, teasing and bullying between these two (mostly on donghyuck's part) but they have an unspoken oath where they'd be there for each other when needed.

being around the other smrookies her age a lot, she inevitably became close to their mark hyung too. not super close, but close enough for them to be comfortable in hanging out alone. their friendship was sailing just fine until things happened, haneul's damned feelings came into the picture and mark didn't know how to handle it. things have been weird ever since, even when haneul has moved on, and it's no help that people keep wanting to see the two interact (they are counterparts of each other, fans say). as the years go by and they grow older, they're slowly trying to patch things up again.

they've been friends since they started training, alongside jaemin, donghyuck and the other same-aged rookies. though they had contrasting personalities, they were the type to befriend absolutely anyone so it wasn't a surprise that they hit it off. as the years went by, jeno and haneul maintained a very serene, calm relationship where they usually shared small, lighthearted talks. they bonded over their mutual love for cats; their personal chat media is full of cat pictures and they've been planning to visit a cat cafe together (but being idols...). besides cats, it's natural of them to talk about trivial things like "hey, what's your favourite colour?" and random mentions of food cravings. it's also common for them to hear how the other's day went and their plans for the following day. very fluffy and domestic indeed.

one thing that haneul loved most about being with jeno was that silence between them was never awkward. if it were just the two of them and there was silence, neither would even notice. they're always comfortable with each other and don't feel the need to make every moment count.

despite how romantic(?) all of this seems, it was entirely platonic, especially since up until nct dream's we young era, haneul had feelings for someone else and the thought of falling in love never even crossed jeno's mind. as haneul was going through her post-heartbreak mourning period, she didn't talk to jeno as much and it bothered him more than he would expect. seeing her for the first time in a week was enough to make him burst from excitement and that was when jeno started being willy wonky.

texts from haneul were prioritized more than anything else. his youtube history was full of her fancams and videos. his gallery was full of her photos, when did she get so pretty? and for some reason he can't understand, she just takes his breath away while simultaneously making his stomach churn and his cheeks warm. if she touches him, the sensation will linger and it's impossible for him to stop smiling when she's around-
