  one of the strongest vocalists of the batch, keumsan is a tenor with an insane range. he's able to switch between his head and chest voices really easily and has consistency, preciseness and pitch when singing and holding high notes. back-up: nct's taeil.

  keumsan, when it comes to dancing, is a power and strength-oriented dancer, meaning he applies power and strength and using tension to create impact on movements. his upper area control (arm and torso control, body locks, facial expressions) are very good but he does have too much energy, which affects his overall dynamics. and he also has some problems with lower area movements. back-up: ateez' seonghwa.

  --   MEMELORD   starting from the moment he literally yeeted himself through the door of the practice room with a loud "wazzup!" a la scary movie 1, it was obvious to the og7 and the fans alike that keumsan is, in no way shape or form, going to be the braincells on the group. this kid literally runs around quoting vines, memes and tiktok songs all the time. he once ruined the scene of the leader and the face of the group by naruto-running behind them and screaming "rEEEEEE" while they were talking during one of their videos. the cherry on the top has to be when he annoys the members by playing the titanic broken flute song on recorder while they're trying to focus. yes, he can play that version on purpose. 

  --   NICKNAMES   throughout all his years of training in both sm and dna, keumsan has gathered an abundance of nicknames. there are the general nicknames which are keum, san, sannie and keumsannie. then there are the ones that are given to him by fans and members. a popular nickname is dj seo as he's usually in charge of choosing and playing songs in the van when the members are going to or coming back from a schedule.  another nickname is gold mountain, which is derived straight from his name keumsan, with keum (금) meaning "gold" and san (산) meaning "mountain". there's also keumsatan, given to him by fans because of his stage presence, which fans have likened to that of "being possessed by a demon/satan himself". the fact that keumsan has a habit of rolling his eyes to the back of his head during performances doesn't help either. variants of this nickname include satan's spawn, son of satan, satan, seo keumsatan, seo satan. and finally, there's sanshine which was given by jiho, as keumsan is an entire sunshine. and using the second syllable of his name, he came up with the nickname "sanshine".

  --   SM SHENANIGANS   as he was a former sm trainee, keumsan is friends with most of the nct members, the trainers kijeong, sam and jisoo, and some of the sljk trainees like sora, liam, hyeontae, cam and mystic. and none of them are afraid to expose him. according to sora, back when keumsan was in sm, jisoo made the mistake of asking him of all people for dating advice. this was keumsan's verbatim response: "hold the door for your date. rip the door off of it's hinges. use the door as a weapon to fight off other men. establish dominance." and this mf actually went off and came back with one of the plastic panels that air conditioners have to "demonstrate", which basically ended up with him giving himself a concussion. word on the street is that the panel was never replaced

  --   AN ACTUAL DEMON?   when the new4 joined the og7, for some unknown reason, the og7 tried to exorcise one of the new4 members, which was a huge fail (they didn't know how to banish spirits or exorcise demons so they just threw salt at him while continuously yelling "the power of christ compels you"). during an "icebreaker session" of sorts to get to know each other better, the new4 were asked to tell an "interesting story" from their childhood and keumsan shared that when he was 9, he went to church and got a nosebleed. needless to say, everyone was shocked. riku and jiho exposed this on a vlive once when they were asked to share a tmi from when the new4 joined the group and riku ended the story by saying "so maybe we tried to exorcise the wrong person"
