VIXX '14 NYC SHOWCASE REPORT

Hi, Yoonah here!

its is now currently 11:54 pm here in New York City, on 23rd of November, and I had just attended the VIXX NYC SHOWCASE :)

I wanted to write everything down before I forget, so please bear with the grammar mistakes or typos!

For references - I bought the general admissions ticket, which were 106 dollars with tax and insurance.

^this meant that I DID NOT participate in the high-touch event or get to see any of the members up close (sadly)

however, for those of you who didn't go - I think my account will still be good? :/

I honestly can't remember the song orders, but the following songs were definitely played at the showcase:

ERROR

Voodoo

Eternity

Only U

G.R.8.U.

B.O.D.Y.

Beautiful Killer

Youth Hurts / Blue Blossoms

Someday

Secret Night

Light Up the Darkness

Rock Ur Body

My Girl From Today / Love Come True

This is my first time going to the VIXX SHOWCASE, so I'm not sure what I should have expected.

However, I will tell you all - it was not a disappointing experience.

It obviously could have been better, for example, the venue choice (terminal 5) wasn't really a good idea to be honest...

The whole standing could have become a huge let down if I hadnt managed to find a good spot on the third floor -

which gave me a good view of almost everyone all the time - ESPECIALLY HYUK.

Okay. Now, let me dive into everyone into a little more detail-

And with Hyuk last because I got so much to say about that makane.

So, first of all - our Leader N was sassy as usual.

During the Q&A session, N had to pick a member to answer the questions, and some starlights would just not shut up and keep yelling.

So being N, he went all Mommy like and was going all "shhhhh" and -

"If you dont be quiet - I wont continue, okay?"

Ugh Hakyeon - you're going to be a great mom dad one day.

Also, you would not believe how amazing he sounded LIVE.

I used to think that perhaps Hong Bin was better vocal wise than N, and that it was unfair that N always had so many lines

but no - hell no. Sorry Hong Bin, N is like good, like REALLY GOOD.

one of my current repeat song is Youth Hurts (THANK GOD FOR THEM PERFORMING IT) -

and you could definitely hear how amazing N was during that song.

He definitely has had loads of practice because I feel like his has great control over it.

And of course - his dance... let's just not. Eternity's body waves killed me.

Next, our head fairy, Jung LEOOOOOOO~

I was actually super surpized at how into the whole show Leo was.

Since the begining of the show (especially during Light Up the Darkness), he was SO into the cheorography.

Like his dance moves were super amazing and his voice always hits those high notes so effortlessly.

Also - I think he was the only one that looked directly towards my direction (or even just the left hand side third floor in general).

And man - that stare - I know he was probably just looking, but I felt that he was looking AT me.

My heart went ba-dump, and dude, he's not even my bias... -.-

But the killer thing was at the encore songMy Girl From Today / Love Come True

This Jung Leo... DID FAN SERVICE/////

Like he interacted with the fans in the front row so much and was super cute did squishy things and teased Hyuk and Ravi so much

I really do feel like he loves the members that vice versa by seeng their interactions.

Next is out cute main vocal JaeHwannyyyyyyyy :)

Oh my god. Hearing him LIVE. Especially in ONLY U.

It was like one of the best things that happened, he sounded freaking AMAZING.

However, I feel like out of the all the members, he seemed the most tired, and was the least active despite his usual image.

I heard that in the Chicago concert, Ken did alot of fan service like throwing hearts and kisses and etc -

so maybe he was just really tired this time and decided to get some rest?

However, he is such a cutie - being super appreciative of us starlights :)

When asked "what was the most interesting thing that happened this week?" during the Q&A,

Ken answer - "Now!" and "Today!" (both in broken but super cutely accented English)

- that led to HongBin's endless teasings but we'll get to that later -

During the encore stage - he did seem to get a little bit more lively, jumping around and goofing around more?

And even as he was leaving the encore stage, he was still singing into the mic and I think he said "I love you" or "Goodbye New York"

Ugh, you're such a gross cutie and I love you too.

Next, our R.A.V.I, or RAVEEEHHHHH rapper!!

I'm just going to put this out there to all the Wonsik lovers - sorry - apparently I'm his girlfriend now.

Actually, the 500+ girls that attended the VIXX NYC showcase are ALL his girlfriends (this little ...)

What happened was that during the Q&A, he got the question "what is your ideal girl type?"

Ravi originally answered "I dont know" (in cute English too, this little ..)

And his partner in crime - the REAL little - HongBin goes "Ayyyyyeeeee, you know~~"

So Ravi went with "Ah, [my ideal type is] everyone?"

Then Hong Bin drops the bomb "what - so many girlfriends, Ravi!"

And he just accepts it by greeting us in his y voice "heyyyy~" and waves. Ugh, these two little s....

That whole conversation was actually completely in English, which was pretty sweet of them.

Other than that incidient, Ravi was pretty much full on #swag all the time.

P.s. his hair looks really fabulous. just saying.

Next, MY BIAS - y dimples god HONG BIN.

I was super shocked at how interactive and chill Hong Bin was.

I thought he would be a lot quieter on stage since he doesn't really talk much in variety shows.

However, man, Hong Bin is one sassybean - learning well after his mom - the SassyTea (sassy cha - get it? hahaha)

During Q&A - almost everything everyone says - he sneaks in a little funny remark.

Like when Ken answered "Today" was the most interesting -

HongBin goes in and says "Oh, Ken is everyday happy!" with those super cute dimples.

Also, when asked "when will you be back?", HongBin goes and kills us all with his amazing response - "If you want - tomorrow!"  -.-

On the other hand - I really do understand why people make fun of HongBin's awkwardness.

Honestly, if you look at them live and single out HongBin - his dancing really is... not bad or strange or anything - it's just ... awkward.

I can't exactly rememeber which song - there was these series of hip s... Light Up the Darkness maybe?

And I watched him dance and ugh, I was still attracted by him, but more like -

"aw that is so weridly cute and adorable and awkward" kind of attractiveness.

I dont know... I think my brain melted when I first saw him smile so now i'm just writing gibberish.

Finally. I get to him. Maknae hyuk.

Forget about #stopManHyuk2k14 - that aint gonna happen. Hyuk is a man now.

I dont know what happened to me at this show - I always liked him, but perhaps because I had an almost perfect view of him at all times -

I felt like even though I always am looking at HongBin, for some reason, I would end up looking at Hyuk, too.

Hyuk is like super tall - which makes him stands out from his hyungs - even though everyone else is like super tall too.

His dance too - UGH. It is so energetic and y and smooth...

During that one song - B.O.D.Y.'s chorus, there is a part where he does a hip s, then moves his hand like he's counting money

I dont know anymore - I could ONLY look at him during that song.

His hair was also parted so perfectly, like a 7/3 part, like that one STAFF winter/autumn shoot where he had the hairbrush,

and it was just so that I cant really describe it. So erm, guys - Hyuk is a man now. A man.

With that in mind - watching him dance to G.R.8.U. was extremely weird.

There he was - with that I am y ManHyuk vibe - dancing to a happy go lucky song...

I dunno, but that vibe really did go well with On and On, and that sideways hip .... *blush*

So yeah, as I mentioned before - I only go the general admission ticket - so I didn't get to actually meet VIXX, sadly.

But then again, I feel like I am a very calm starlight (kind of Jung Leo style?) -

I went there to see their performance, hear them sing, not really for them to know I exsist - so for me, it was enough. :)

In general, it was a pleasant experience.

I have heard about Kpop concerts being super uncivilized and crazy before, more specifically the NYC Babys...

I heard about what happened of the LOE in NYC for B.A.P. - so at first I was super worried about my safety.

However, I dont know - maybe I was just on a less crowded floor - everyone was pretty civilized at this show.

I didn't get pushed away or yelled at when I accidently bumped into someone while trying to get a better look at Hyuk's hip s,

nor did I get pushed away or yelled at when I accidently blocked someone's view while looking at HongBin's awkward freestyle dancing...

Everyone was just calm and sweet - at least those around me were. :)

I hope we continue this way, NYC starlights - so that VIXX will come again, and be in a bigger, better venue (with seats please) next time :)

On a completely different note -

One of the guys who were selling the merchandise was EXTREMELY good looking.

He was defintely korean and he had the most adorable eyes I had every seen anyone have (other than HongBin).

I first noticed him as I was entering the venue and I think he probably noticed me too,

and as I was leaving the venue I am PRETTY SURE THERE WAS A CONNECTION.

I mean we remained eye contact as I walked out of the venue.

I was *this* close to buying merchandise just so I could talk to him and see if I could maybe get his number or something...

but no - I stopped myself because I knew if I went I would end up buying EVERYTHING just to talk to him a little longer.

Sigh. There goes my love.

Anyway - that is basically it for my report on VIXX 2014 NYC SHOWCASE.

If there is anything else you want to ask me, or is curious about, go ahead and write a comment below or message me :)

I will be willing to answer them as best as I can.

That's all for now.

As usual, I end with :

<3, Yoonah.
