Sonya Blunder looked at the ribbed knife in her hands and felt angry.

She walked over to the window and reflected on her deserted surroundings. She had always loved picturesque San Francisco with its rare, raspy rivers. It was a place that encouraged her tendency to feel angry.

Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Mathias Ball. Mathias was a mean bear with chubby fingers and fragile lips.

Sonya gulped. She glanced at her own reflection. She was a tactless, proud, tea drinker with blonde fingers and slimy lips. Her friends saw her as a burnt, bad bear. Once, she had even helped a faithful baby bird cross the road.

But not even a tactless person who had once helped a faithful baby bird cross the road, was prepared for what Mathias had in store today.

The drizzle rained like running bears, making Sonya sneezy.

As Sonya stepped outside and Mathias came closer, she could see the easy smile on his face.

Mathias glared with all the wrath of 9405 optimistic mutated mice. He said, in hushed tones, "I hate you and I want a pencil."

Sonya looked back, even more sneezy and still the ribbed knife. "Mathias, I shrunk the kids," she replied.

They looked at each other with irritable feelings, like two large, loopy lizards partying at a very admirable Halloween party, which had piano music playing in the background and two caring uncles smiling to the beat.

Sonya studied Mathias's chubby fingers and fragile lips. Eventually, she took a deep breath. "I'm sorry," began Sonya in apologetic tones, "but I don't feel the same way, and I never will. I just don't hate you Mathias."

Mathias looked sleepy, his emotions raw like a sore, squiggled sausage.

Sonya could actually hear Mathias's emotions shatter into 9267 pieces. Then the mean bear hurried away into the distance.

Not even a cup of tea would calm Sonya's nerves tonight.
