Ladies Code.
This past week has been pretty somber in the KPop world, after it became known Ladies’ Code had been in an accident and as a consequence EunB had passed away.
This morning I woke up to the news that Rise had also passed away.
I’ve seen comments on different news sites saying “oh thank god it wasn’t my oppa/unnie/bias group” and people responding angrily at that, “shut up, don’t make this about your oppa/unnie/bias group a person just died”, and while I agree with the second type of comment, I feel the same as the first type of comment as well. I would be devastated if this had happened to MBLAQ and any of its members, but out of respect to EunB, RiSe, Ladies’ Code and their families and friends, as well as their fans, I wouldn’t comment about them in an article that has nothing to do with them. So, please, refrain yourselves from doing it, no matter who is your bias or favorite group, it’s disrespectful to EunB and Rise.
It’s heartbreaking to know that these two beautiful young girls, who were following their dreams, had to pass away so early. They had their whole lives ahead of them, and rising careers in the KPop industry. I feel frivolous spazzing over a comeback, or a solo song release, when these two girls just lost their lives. But life goes on, and the world doesn’t stop for death.
There are many ‘ifs’ in this situation; ‘if’ they had put on their seatbelts, ‘if’ their managers had check the tires, ‘if’ it hadn’t been raining, 'if' the driver had been careful, what should have been done, wasn’t done, and what couldn’t be helped was unavoidable. There is no point to blame anyone or anything for this accident. But learn something from this. Put on your seatbelt, check your car if you drive, be careful when it rains or snows, if you live in an area where it snows. And while it is not the case in this situation, don’t drive while you are drunk, it’s better to spend money on a taxi to go back home instead of losing your life.
My condolences to EunB and RiSe’s families, friends and fans. May they rest in peace.
If you are a religious person, please keep them in your prayers, and if you are not, spare them a moment of silence, and hope these two girls are in a better place.
I don’t want to speak for anyone, but as an A+ and part of the A+ and Kpop fandom in general, I want to show my sincere support to all Lavelies in this terrible time.
