So They were Humans, Too : Rest In Peace... Lovely Unnies I Never Get to Know...

By now, it should be public secret that two lovely members of the semi-rookie group LADIES' CODE have passed away: EunB unnie on Sept 3rd, and RiSe unnie just this morning (Sept 7th), cause by the severe accident they have suffered.

It really truly shocked me upon seeing the news on my local newspaper. I was never a Ladies' Code stan, but I've known them since 'Hate You' and 'So Wonderful'. 'So Wonderful' was a wonderful song and that was the only thing left in my memory about the things that I liked about LC. I watched their comeback stage for it, and the short-haired girl really caught my attention.

Who knew that she'd be the first one to fly away?

At that time, I really thought that EunB unnie was so pretty (that was before I knew her name was EunB), and I even considered her to be my newest face claim for an applyfic here in AFF. I know, such childish thoughts.

But well hey, who would know, who would know, that the particular girl would go away so soon? And who would know that this particular girl whose name I didn't even know up until yesterday would change my perspective for life FOREVER.

Just so you all know, I have NEVER been frightened at the idea of death, nor did I ever take the idea of it seriously. And I think it should be in the back of most of your minds also, that an idol is somehow a kind of an indestructible machine or something. So yes, this was an experience that had made the 'who-cares-about-death' me mentally shaken back to reality.

DEATH is something nobody can avoid... and it's near each and every one of us.

Suddenly, I fear death. I fear that I might lose my life anytime soon, anytime wherein I wouldn't expect it coming, anytime wherein I am still not ready and still has a lot going on and a lot to achieve.

Up until this time, I still couldn't believe that the pretty short-haired girl my eyes were glued onto during 'So Wonderful' was already gone. I am still unable to make up my mind about how 'they were humans, after all' thing.

After reading the news of EunB unnie's death, I automatically found out about RiSe unnie and Sojung unnie's conditions. One look and I already knew that Sojung unnie would survive, but my mind was shaken upon reading about RiSe unnie. Way at the back of my mind, I thought... "no way but miracle could save her,"

Though, when I read the news about her passing first thing in the morning, my shock still doubled.

Don't blame me, that was what anyone would do.

After all, SOMEBODY DID DIE.

Even when I somehow knew this was going to happen all along, a life did get taken away. Even when I knew that it'd be better for RiSe unnie to just pass rather than finding out her best friend had died in the cruelest of way while she survived but unable to pay her last respects, or having her whole body limped for life, or getting serious amnesia like what have been predicted would happen if she DID survive and wake up; still, a beautifully blooming flower got picked and harvested away too soon without even giving her a fair chance to ripen.

DEATH is cruel. LIFE is cruel. FATE is cruel. I fear them.

But GOD is good and His loving kindness is ENDLESS.

HE knows what is best for every one of us.

Rest in peace, unnies that I never get to know... your time here, though was short, will be cherished and remembered by many. May you go to the best place where you'll never suffer pain again.
