Park Bom and the Rap
First, read this: Rookie group A.KOR's Kemy releases diss track targeting Park Bom
In addition, here are the lyrics: (they're on the article, but I just want to repost it for clarification)
Your bloated, swollen face.
You're not satisfied no matter what you put in it.
You're going to become an old person next to an ugly child
You drag your entire body and slap it onto your face
You're at the point of addiction, "STOP IT!"
X? O? The answer is X, toxic.
Someone call the doctor, someone stop her.
You're about the same as the Gangnam Beauty [who got plastic surgery 28 times]
You're weak, and you fell into drugs.
Did the drugs fall into the jelly box?
Who glanced over the 4 pills that disappeared?
Since when were the prosecutors so nice?
The Samsung employee had 29 pills, and was detained at the detention center
You had 82 pills, and why are you innocent? They're super cool.
The ambassador of the Ministry of Justice? You had a very fitting role, huh?
You took the title of the first smuggling-dol, huh? Amphetamine sh*t.
The articles were taken down so well. YG is no joke.
Try to cover up the sky with your palm. You just got your case suspended??
It must be nice for your fans to cover you up.
I'm jealous that your CEO writes a novel for you.
You set fire on your Roommate friends, and they must feel chaotic, because the corn exploded
You'll hide behind your influential label and then come back when it gets quiet
Radio Star or Healing Camp, or anywhere. There won't be a blow to you, huh?
YG, mental breakdown, your fans, mental breakdown.
How do you have time to go to Japan? Hurry and come back, come back home
No one else can be a smuggling-dol without you, can't nobody.
Listen to this and clap your hands, let's go party
YG, mental breakdown, your fans, mental breakdown.
How do you have time to go to Japan? Hurry and come back, come back home
No one else can be a smuggling-dol without you, can't nobody.
Listen to this and clap your hands, let's go party NOW
Now...
First of all, EVEN IF the content of this diss rap was true, one does not do this. Like the meme: One does not simply diss Park Bom.
I was talking about it with a couple of friends, and one said that Kemy should have stayed in the k-hiphop scene if she wanted to do diss raps. And the general rule (or what I've read) is that you don't do diss raps unless the other person can do one back. But really? No. To put in a short way, Kemy basically just threw away her career. Plain and simple. You do not cross the line and attack a much more famous kpop star like this. Kpop is different from k-hiphop. From what another one of my friend said, Kemy is actually a good rapper (I didn't listen to the rap), so she also threw away her talent for the kpop industry. The same friend from before (the one who told me about the k-hiphop) also said that even in k-hiphop, rookies don't diss higher level artists. That's just a boundary that isn't crossed.
Which, unfortunately, Kemy has done here.
I honestly don't know what she was thinking, writing, recording, and releasing this. I don't know what the company was doing, letting her release it, and I don't know what she hoped to gain from this. It's true, everyone knows her now, but for the absolute worst reasons. Why would you risk your career to try to ruin someone else's?
Like, I feel horrible for Bom right now. Imagine what she must feel, having to deal with her scandal again, leaving Roommates, and now this? On top of being depressed? Honestly, I do believe that this might be the breaking point for her.
Hopefully, this all gets sorted out, but really, I don't think this is just going to go away in the next couple of days. Kemy has pissed off pretty much all of the Blackjacks, a lot of VIPs, and a lot of people in general, even if they don't support 2NE1, but know that this was wrong.
Imagine what Kemy's group members are feeling. Their careers might also go kaput because of their rapper's careless decision to release this. I mean... I don't even know with this.. There's a lot of drama and scandals lately, but honestly, idols are humans too. They make their mistakes. I'm not saying I forgive Kemy, no, no, no, I really don't. But I am saying that people can't expect idols to be angels and perfect all of the time.
What are your thoughts on this? Anyone?
