Hmm...trying to wrack my brain for something...it didn't happen to me directly but I was part of it
OKAY, so my class had a trip and unfortunately it was cancelled because of the train strike. However, at the last minute (A DAY BEFORE), it was back on because the strike would be on a different day. So my teacher basically told us through a post it note and our class have this group chat so we told everyone in our class.
When the day of the trip arrived, we were all there but waiting on this girl O.O EVERYBODY WAS AT THE TRIP, eVERYoNE, but HER!! She didn't get our message that the trip was back on. It was soooo awkward when we had to see her after...

Don't judge me...but it was Nanny McPhee: The Big Bang. I'm sorry. I'm really emotional when it comes to films that it's quite pathetic. So when I watch a really sad film, you can understand that my face drowns and floods in tears.

Yes I have. I'm quite pathetic when it comes to liking people. I usually have a mutual friend introduce us maybe. Or if I have a class with them, pray that the teacher puts us in a seating plan and I send up sitting next to him.
Now that I've matured a bit (-.- heh...), I would say confidence is key. If you come off confident, you'll be remembered. Obviously, don't be arrogant or something. Be confident as in you are proud of who you are. Love yourself first.
There's nothing wrong with making conversation. If you just randomly sit next to him maybe in a free lesson or lunch, just say hi and talk. It's better to say something than wonder.

I usually imagine things in my head as if it were a movie. That way I can take note of everything that should be said, the movements made, the room the characters are in etc etc.  Try different things to find out what help you the most. Practice makes PERFECT!
