This story was supposed to be a one-shot, at the beginning, and it was supposed to be “slight-angst” and “fluff” as well. As you can tell, it didn’t turn out like that: the story exceeded the 21k words, and it was mostly “angsty” in the end.

Writing it was a challenge: I didn’t knew what would happen in the end, and, as I was trying to figure out the plot, I found myself becoming sad, troubled… moody, I guess. I discovered the story bit by bit, almost at the pace you did, and some parts were equally painful for me to write, as for you to read.

Nevertheless, I’m grateful for this: I discovered that writing in another language isn’t as different as writing in my own, and that my fanfiction work could be very much alike to my original work (my original work is pretty dark and depressive, by the way). Anyway, what I’m probably trying to say is that I will keep writing like this in the future, so if you’re interested… look out for me (I’m currently thinking a plot about a SeKai story).

During this story, there are a few music tracks that kept replaying on my playlist, so I thought I’d share them with you.

• “Winter Sleep”, by Olivia Lufkin: This song is basically ideal to express Minseok’s feelings as he becomes somewhat distant and as he slips further away, as he becomes “frozen”. The lyrics really made me think about how he reacted to some things that happened in the fic, and I generally found it pretty fitting.
• “Baby Don’t Cry”, by EXO-K: Yeah, I know it’s obvious, but the song kept replaying in my mind during the love scene between Baekhyun and Minseok, and I gave in and decided to play it on loop as I wrote it… Sorry, not sorry. :P
• “Really I Didn’t Know”, by Baekhyun and Jongdae: Another obvious choice, especially since it’s mentioned in the story. Still, this was the inspiration that fueled the repetitive form of Baekhyun’s writing “You know, I really didn’t know…”. Not to mention, that it’s a song I’m particularly fond of (basically, all the songs on the list are, but oh well…).

 I said in the last A/N that writing this story was a journey for me, and in a way, it truly was. I found new ways to express myself, and I really gave this story a lot of effort: from the making of the poster to the foreword, to the three parts and to the writing of the ending, I truly tried to do my best, and I can only hope that you were satisfied. I just want to say that I’m really grateful for your presence in each step of the way, and that I hope to see you soon in my next fic.
