Making graphics and some of my implications

I'm curious. There are a lot of people who do edits and make graphics on here and on tumblr, but I want to know where everyone finds all those pretty pictures, because the ones I do find all say "Do Not Edit" or "Do not crop logo" or something along those lines.

I just want to know where they find the pics since a lot of them are fantaken and I've seen a lot that are meant to have logos but have been edited? I dunno. I could be mistaken and they are actually allowed to edit.

I want to make graphics with all those fantaken photos - though I guess I'm a bit scared to use them in case those fansites go to the extremes of shutting down or something like sue me.

I'm just wondering since I want to edit and share - but not really sure if I should share. OTL. The kpop world is harsh - where are all the people who like to share?

So any graphic artists out there who can help with this issue?

I'm still pretty new to the editing world and such. I have no idea what sites to use (mainly EXO) or where to get photos. I've been making posters but omg, I'm starting to wonder if those pics I found on google search are even allowed to be used. /pulls at hair/.

And I know those logos are important, but they DO get in the way of making graphics.

And also, once I've used the photo to make a graphic, they can't tell who took the photo originally right? It simply just shows the idol's face/body etc.

I really don't get it. I really don't.

As you can probably tell, I'm a total noob. I just like to read, write and reblog kpop - not really much of a editor/gif-er.

HELP.

i usually use photoshoot pictures instead of fantaken ones bc they are higher quality. but when i find a fantaken photo that is really good, i just use it anyways even it says not to. lol but im scared that one day ill get caught TT.TT

trust me, the fansites will know if you've taken their photos lol (or atleast shinee fansites keep 'scolding' us on twitter by showing edits they've found on tumblr) uwu lol but still people keep taking their photos. i guess they don't really understand how hard it is to take such great photos ^^;; but if you do take pics from fansites, maybe you could like, credit them in the tags or something or write that you don't own the photos but the edit. i guess they won't be as mad then ;;; but if you're scared maybe you could stick to the official photos, from SM, or take the ones from photoshoots and magazines~

A lot of my graphic friends, not me because I , they use it anyways.
They're like, 'The owners wouldn't know anyways'.
I don't know either.

mn. some people get direct permission from the image owners. and on some tumblr pages, they have an 'editable' tab (like for bap, itsbap has an editable tab that you can hunt through. not sure about exo though). and you're allowed to edit official images. uh. or if you're desperate, you can hunt down exo and ask them to pose for you eue (lolno more chances you'll be framed as a creep) some peoppe decide to edit noneditable images but that's just wrong man ene
