Congrats Mayuyu!

In case many people do not know the amazing news, just less than a day ago Watanabe Mayu ranked first for the first time in the AKB48 37th Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo with 159,854 votes (defeating 32nd Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo winner and former reigning queen Sashihara Rino who had 141,954 votes). It's a dream that Mayuyu has always wanted since the first Sousenkyo, and now the third generation and Team B ace has finally achieved it. Congratulations Mayuyu!

Other amazing (and hilarious) moments from the Sousenkyo include:

WMatsui (SKE48 Team S / AKB48 Team K's Matsui Jurina and SKE48 Team E / Nogizaka46's Matsui Rena) breaking into the Top 5

NMB48 Team N / AKB48 Team K's Yamamoto Sayaka and AKB48 Team A's Shimazaki Haruka breaking into Kami7.

AKB48 Team A's Kojima Haruna trolling everybody by pretending to announce her graduation (Note: Kojiharu don't you dare do that again)

SKE48 Team E's Suda Akari breaking into the Top 10.

SKE48 Team E's Shibata Aya, HKT48 Team KIV / AKB48 Team A's Miyawaki Sakura, and AKB48 Team A's Kawaei Rina breaking into Senbatsu for the first time.

AKB48 Team K's Yokoyama Yui once again almost having a heart attack and requiring help to get on stage due to overwhelming emotions.

Nogizaka46 / AKB48 Team B's Ikoma Rina being honestly confused ("DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" XD)

SKE48 Team KII's Kinoa Yukiko's first Sousenkyo ranking.

AKB48 Team B's Tanabe Miku thinking that her ranking was a prank.

SKE48 Lifetime Honourary Kenkyuusei Matsumura Kaori, NMB48 Team M's Fujie Reina, and AKB48 Team K's Iwasa Misaki and Nagao Mariya becoming the centres for Undergirls, Next Girls, Future Girls, and Upcoming Girls.

Personal Other Favourite Moments

AKB48 Team K's Miyazaki Miho re-entering the Sousenkyo rankings after dropping from them last year.

HKT48 Team H's Matsuoka Natsumi, HKT48 Team KIV's Moriyasu Madoka, and AKB48 Team 4's Kato Rena ranking for the first time.

HKT48 Team KIV / AKB48 Team B's Tomonaga Mio going up by thrity-two places, totally skipping Next Girls and going straight into Undergirls.

Saddest Moments

NMB48 Team BII's / SKE48 Team S' Watanabe Miyuki dropping three places, going from Senbatsu straight to Undergirls.

Yamamoto Sayaka being the only NMB48 representative in Senbatsu (excluding Kashiwagi Yuki, who holds a kennin position in Team N).

AKB48 Team A's Kawaei Rina and Iriyama Anna not being able to take part in the photos for Senbatsu and Undergirls more-than-likely for their own safety.

Well if you put it into another perspective Yukirin's kennin is the best thing NMB seem to have.

What's more surprising with Mio is that she beat Meru??! I've always thought Meru was quite popular. O.O"

AND I AM SOOOO HAPPY MURASHIGE ANNA GOT FINALLY RANKED THIS YEAR!! She deserved it. Poor girl is always so underrated even though she tries so hard, and now she has her place! ;u; <3
