Pictures from NYC Vacation (For my Between Spotlights subscribers)

Hello all! I'm back from NY, and I just finished chapter 15 of Between Spotlights so while I wait for my sis to beta the heck out of it, I thought I'd upload some of those pics I promised my readers. You will see places I've semi-described in the story, plus a few other locales that you may *hint hint nudge nudge* see in future chapters. Also, some food pics because I ate my weight in Chinatown. Woo hoo!

CENTRAL PARK

Where my friends and I had a nap because the day was long, and the grass was cool ;)

Rowboats on the lake (we were too tired to rent one, hence we had a nap) ^^

SAINT JOHN THE DIVINE (aka scenes from Chapters 10-12)

The Peace Fountain, at St. John the Divine, as most of you should recognize

Incidentally, I was sitting around eating a snack on the benches next to the fountain (and sending my sis teasing pics of the place on my phone) when something fantastic happened. A white peacock landed right next to the statue, fluffed out his feathers and twirled around and preened for about 5 minutes while everyone snapped pics of it. I named it Luhan.

Another cool thing - I was waiting around at the fountain before I could go into an evening choral service at the church, and when I did, I ended up hearing a sermon by the actual Episcopal Archbishop of Korea and Bishop of Seoul. He gave a sermon IN KOREAN that hit on the Sewol Ferry Accident and I cried because it was so moving. :'(

BROOKLYN BOTANICAL GARDEN

We came at just the right time of the year because all the cherry blossom flowers were blowing in the wind!

Just look at that cherry tree orchard!

Okay, here's where we get to the good part:

FOOD GALORE

Japchae and Jajjangmyeon in K-Town (where we spent a lot of time eating, as you might could imagine.

Bubble tea and a Yogurty soda-soju drink.

Chinese dim sum (including chicken feet in the left dish) and a Malaysian meal that looked like a bird's nest and tasted like heaven.

Chinese soup dumplings and assorted sides

Japanese ramen, and food from a Korean buffet

Oh yeah, I ate good. I also walked a lot. As in, lost weight, walked a lot. New York is fantastic. I miss the food already.

I'll leave you with a picture of Central Park from Top of the Rock

Pretty pretty pictures! NYC at time of year is wonderful, so green with tons of flowers and tulips everywhere. The food looks fantastic, I'm craving bubble tea with a passion now haha but that's nothing compared to how I felt seeing the daily Europan updates you sent me! Drinking my all-time favorite iced coffee with those desserts...*fumes* you're such a tease!
Lol thanks for all the pretty pictures unnie ^^
