Bloody Valentine

I love deductive reasoning..sooo much! I love detective games, novels, movies, animes...I just love mystery. Hahaha, just sharing :) Here are my favorite animes that covered this certain genre:

1.) D E A T H NOTE.

Now, can I test your deductive reasoning? Let's see, how good you are in analyzing things :)

Case 1

It was Valentines Day.

Sehun invited his friends to come over at his house. The ones who came are Tao, Kai, Chanyeol, Luhan and Jongdae. Sehun's mom made cakes and tea as she distributed both refreshments randomly. She even poured the tea in front of the guests. Sehun hates sweets so he just decided to drink the tea. All of them ate the cakes and drank the tea.

Suddenly, Sehun went outside to smoke after Jongdae gave him a box of cig as a gift. Five minutes later, Luhan decided to smoke as well. Not for long, Luhan found Sehun's dead body with a cig on his mouth lying on the ground.

When the police came, all the plates and cups are clean.

Now, who killed Sehun?

I don't know if i'm right but,
I think it's the mom. But, you'll wonder why it's the mother if she poured it randomly?
I guess she planed it ever since. You could also guess it's eitehr TaoKaiYeol, becuase they like didn't appear towards the end.

Okay, I didn't read the comments below mine...but I definitely thought of the mother right after I read Sehun was dead and that the plates and cups were all clean. But then I thought why would she kill her own son? (If she hated the fact that he smokes I guess)

But...

I went back to re-read it again. I thought it would have been Jongdae, but then I said no, why would the friend who gave a "gift" kill the person they gifted? So I eliminated that. Can't be Luhan, he saw Sehun already dead. Then there are the rest of the invitees, Tao, Chanyeol, and Kai, where were they? Throughout the end?

I would typically say that Sehun's killer or killers had got to have been the other three. Because within the five minutes before Luhan goes to smoke, one of them could have have done the dishes washing away evidence that they were there because they all ate and drank tea, while one could have been distracting Luhan within the five minutes because they know Luhan smokes and didn't want Luhan to witness the kill, so all the while, within those five minutes, one of the three killed Sehun.

I probably don't even make sense and be completely wrong. Oh just tell me I over thought the whole thing and was not even close to the answer. Lol! Because I totally at these kind of things...
