First tries in photoshop

Hi guys :D SO because I'm trying to get better at designing, I decided to switch to PS CS6. I've been trying it out for a while but only finished two posters, one that I have updated in a blog before and one that will be added below. Blending is really hard, I have a feeling that I'm not using the right brush, but playing with the colors is fun xD here is the first 'version' (AKA without any major coloring)

and here is the poster itself. Looks better, doesn't it?
