so you think Rainbow is overly y....? (sorry, it's inevitable to see me ranting endlessly since i've seen them getting bashed from predebut until now...can you understand that feeling?) well, they debuted with y concept right from the releases of their teaser pics...even though stage outfits for Gossip Girl varied from all covered up winter clothing to school uniforms to too y bordering skimpy(?)for some. after all, they debuted in winter....so, i don't really pay much attention to fuss over what they wear. other than feel bad they had to wear so little to perform in the cold weather. Gossip Girl isn't a y song anyway...lol. (dsp probly was planning to keep Kara as the cute innocent one n Rainbow as the y one...but then, it was hard. Rainbow has so much cuteness in their personalities, n after awhile Kara wanted to show their matured y style too...so dsp jumbled up)

And while you may think they've done quite a number of cute songs...like Tell Me Tell Me or Sunshine....to me, that's more towards cutesy than cute. what's the difference? well, idk. hahaha. ignore this pointless paragraph pls, thanks. lol.

anyway...

This cover is from December 2010-i believe after they completed Mach promotion. and This song is originally by Fin.K.L (of course, Rainbow n Kara always perform Fin.K.L song, since Fin.K.L is their direct senior of the same company, n one of the most successful ones. if you followed Kara's early debut...Lee Hyori had shown help n support to Kara. too bad Rainbow debuted way later for any interaction to happen...but it's alrite, they're awesome the way they are. oh, fyi though DSP has this of calling all their female artistes(kara,rainbow), 2nd fin.kl. or in their solo artiste case(sunha) -2nd hyori. really dsp, that was so unnecessary. i feel bad for these girls for getting hate, bcuz all of them are awesome in their own way n has awesome songs, if only the label wasn't pasted on them n bringing hate.) - spontaneous trivia about dsp artistes end. lol.-

now, when you think oh-so-innocent/pure/fresh kinda concepts...you'd think groups like A-pink n umm...whatever else groups rite? i won't be surprised netizen would say snsd is also considered pure n innocent...lol. well, surprise surprise...Rainbow can do that too. and this kinda concept to me can easily get boring or fake in portrayal, cuz c'mon now.(well, even y concepts can look fake n awkward or just vulgar when not done right, same with oh-so-fierce concept or heck, any concepts) However, I'm happy to see Rainbow bring in personality to this kinda style...of course i'm going to praise them...durr, i mean...this is Rainbow series. but just look at the vibe n energy n vibrance they bring...they showed that showing a pure innocent pretty perf doesn't mean you have to look dead or not showing any personality. (i don't intend to mention any names so don't make me)... just look at those freestyle dorky moves at 2:38. xD n Woori does her trademark crouching down-while rap move that she does in all/most/many rainbow songs even in this special stage...xD.... this is another thing i love about these girls. even though they're serious n determined to take up any challenges(like, remember the synchronized swimming in idol athletics some years ago? which end up being cut short in broadcast like wth,they practiced hard for it,n it even earned them bashing like ugh i swear ppl just want to hate them for anything n everything), they don't take themselves too seriously. You'll see 10 or 100 times more personality during their random university festivals performances as can be seen in fancams. they're wayyyy more lively than in any music shows. n those performances dates are back to back...idk where they even found so much energy. i'll share those another day though... :)

i love this perf. it's warm n fuzzy  happy n the right amount of cuteness for me without being overwhelming.

and here is their performance of the same song from radio show, in December 2009, a year before that perf above-when they had just debut. it was more complete n the girls seem to be more lively since it's radio show i guess. xD. there's some difference though, like some different member taking different part than the one in stage performance. they're in one of their Gossip Girl stage outfit though. xD

and hey...you know what?...i found a little something for ya...a performance of the same song from...your popular girlgroups reps(well, not snsd or 2ne1 lol but yeah....these still are the popular ones) HERE watch if you want. these girls mostly have debuted like a couple of years since it's from December 2012. Rainbow performed it during their 1-2 months after debut n also in their early 2nd year though yeah, they probly have practiced the song a lot in training since it's fin.kl. but you can compare the delivery, energy level n the way they dance n all. damn...i'm just too fking proud of my girls....><....well, i hope i won't bring more hate on rainbow though. it's not my fault boasting something already obviously awesome. haahaa. so just hate it all on me...

and....also sharing...a cute, girly and colourful performance. 

so i decided to cram in another cover, Sweety - originally by co-ed group, S#arp. so i went googling S#arp a bit n was dumbfounded to see a site that say they're from sm...which would be weird since i never heard of such a thing...after some more snooping around...it was false info durrr....speaking of SM entertainment....i saw that Woori n Hyunyoung were trainees in sm....hmm, i'm sure i've learned that awhile ago but forgot it. well, i'm glad/relieved they didn't debut there...same with Gyuri(Kara)...xD

Anyway, this cover was from 2011, most probably when promoting To Me if i'm correct, assuming from SeungA's hair. it's pretty n fun n colourful but i just think i prefer that White perf...xD...

and yeah, a little confession. in the future, there's gonna be more of their cover performances shared here probly. sadly, i'm too lazy to watch many variety shows/shows other than singing ones for most time. even though i tried watching as many of their old shows n i'd like to share their other stuffs as well. i can't wait to post more perfs already. rawrrr.
