Given that my major is Korean I'm kind of offended by this. I'm not out there throwing out random words but actually attempting to learn and she just generalized pretty much every non-Korean into a lump of wannabes, posers, and fakes. Sorry, no respect for this.

Meh. I'm half and half about this poem.
I can totally understand where she's coming from, yet at the same time, just because I don't understand Korean means that I cannot appreciate art just because it's in Korean?
I do often use the small knowledge I have with Korean words to tease my Korean friends and make them uncomfortable when they're being annoying, but I have always known that I do not know Korean. Learning about my culture is more important than Korean culture. But is it my fault that I find KPOP more interesting than the pop music of my culture?
Not all of us use Korean just to mock it, in fact our use of it should be seen as a triumph of Korean culture to survive against Japanese occupation and become significant to the world, and perhaps connect its history to the future that it holds the reins to.
