  O4.ROLEPLAY CREEPING

———————————————————————————————

So back to being about roleplaying and more creative genius, I did find this one that I wanted to join, and it immediately appealed to be because it's based on the recently popular K-drama The Heirs, which if you haven't seen, jesus christ, stop reading and go watch it. It's only the second K-drama I've attentively seen, the first being What's Up, which I haven't finished and – I'm getting off track. Anyway, the roleplay.

The thing about it is, I don't know exactly what to do or how to join, or how it's going to work after I join. Like I mentioned in another post, I don't know much about groups outside of VIXX ( it's already very bad for my health that I like them to the extent I do; manic affection for idols, I'm disgusted with myself ), so I wouldn't even know how to . . . immerse myself. Not to mention, I don't really trust myself to play real people because I don't want to their personalities up but at the same time roleplaying i love roleplaying why this.

The admission form to The Inheiritors is as so:

Name:
Group:
Age:
Timezone:
Writing style:

Seems simple enough, right? So what's confusing me, you might ask . . .

I get basically this entire form until I get to writing style, which, based on this post by TaeminnieMee. According to him, writing style is something like this:

Para: Short for the word paragraph. This writing style teller means that you write in paragraphs, or generally posts one paragraph of roleplay content. Example:

It was just some silly nightmare, wasn't it? Wonshik couldn't help but feel shivers constantly running down his spine no matter how much he tried to shake off the terrible feelings. That nightmare . . . That nightmare had him waking up with starts, covered with a layer of cold sweat and shaky hands that might have told someone else that he was having a seizure. He would grip at his thumping heart in his chest but then immediately let go; it would only remind him of that stitched heart on that . . . thing.

When he stared at his pale reflection in the mirror, he could only wonder if any of the others had nightmares, too. That was stupid to think about, he knew, because of course they did. What really was the wonder was if they had nightmares about eyes that were damaged, stitches in skin, a them that looked like . . .

. . . He tried not to vomit.

Keep in mind that paragraphs don't have to be absurdly long; that bull they teach you in school about a paragraph having to be three to five sentences or five to eight sentences is dumb. Paragraphs contain description/explanation about the subject of tha paragraph.

Semi-Para: Basically, you write in shorter paragraph bodies, but don't do one-liners.

when did this turn into a tutorial im sorry

The one I've seen on The Inheiritors roleplay that really doesn't make sense is mirror writing style. What is that? I'm sure if I searched the site, I could find something, but so far ( since I did just as soon as I was typing that ) I haven't found anything. If someone could explain this to me, I'd be grateful.

Legit tho, roleplaying on this site scares the out of me. It's intimidating as , and I don't want to sign up for one and come off as incompetent – I always like to know what I'm doing, and I hate it when I'm lost or unable to understand, especially because I'm a slow learner to begin with.

And hell, if I thought this site was scary, the other week, I found Roleplay Republic, which is apparently AFF's sister site, and holy , they have rooms instead of chapters in this place. I feel like I'm going to die.

I want to roleplay around here, so badly. I feel like I have a lot to offer, but jesus, there are so many mechanics I feel like I don't understand, and roleplays that incorperate sites like Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr, how the hell do they do it?!

If you're in the mood to help a stranger out, I'd love you to bits forever.
