Question~

HULLO!

So I have a multi chap almost ready to be posted. It's short, probably about 5 chapters or so, and I'd likely be posting a chapter a week or so.

It's an Alternate Universe GRi, where Riri and Jiyong grew up in the same town together, and became friends, and eventually lovers.

It points out the major events that defined their friendship, and their eventual relationship, by pointing out the ages Seungri was when significant things happened in his/Jiyong's life.

BUT.

BUUUUUT.

It is a pretty hard hitting angst, and there is character death involved.

I know that some people will outright avoid a story if they know one of the boys is going to die in it, cause feels, and I completely understand, but basically...

I wanted to ask the following:

1) Have you/would you read a story knowing it ended in character death?

2) If no, what are the main things that prevent you reading character death stories?

3) Do you read AU stories often?

4) What do you think makes an AU story good? What elements?

Gotta be honest, I likely will post this story regardless, but I do wanna hear the view on this situation, because I am legitimately curious.

LEMME KNOW PLEASE AND THANK YOU.  :3

Yea, I've read some character death fics. I'd pretend myself didn't know the main character would die. But deep inside my heart, I wanted to stab the authors WHY WHY WHY DID YOU KILL HIM WHYYYYY HAHAHA LOL XD

But from all death character fics I've read, 3/4 authors made the other character (their lover) ended up committed suicide so they still could be together in heaven. HAHAHA :))

Nah, I don't read AU often bcs rarely find one. Writers say AU is harder to write, more complicated.. ;_;

Every story line will be fine, very writer has their own style. I'd love to read AU if it has a good story line. And the beginning (the description/foreword or the very first chapter) of the AU itself will always be preference if the story is good or not to me. Kkkk

/omg I need to learn english more/
I hope you get what I'm saying. Kkkk *^.^*

1) Have you/would you read a story knowing it ended in character death? yes, I even made one XD

2) If no, what are the main things that prevent you reading character death stories? umm, sometimes I avoid it for a while because it's kinda depressing and tiring and too angsty XD

3) Do you read AU stories often? not really /hides/

4) What do you think makes an AU story good? What elements? the story plot, the detail definition of each characters, and also because the writer knows about that life more than he knows about life of being idol O_o I love the surprise in AU story, like their job, their unusual past, etc >w<

Hahaha I read character death fics (actually I wrote it...) But I used to avoid character death because it's the angstiest thing and when I'm not in the mood, I can't read angst because it so heavy on my heart that it depress me... (But I usually like angst so if I'm not already too sad, I can read it) moreover I hate when they're separated at the end so I use to avoid character death.... its hard to explain but I really need to be in the mood to read angst I'm always afraid at first but once I went and start to read I love it (I prefer it when they end together anyway.....) so I guess that if you give a little hope in the foreword, if you found a really attractive and interesting title and foreword people should read your story (not me I only read gtop ㅋㅋㅋㅋ)
As for AU I read plenty of them I love it, when I first read about a pairing, I prefer read non-AU stories, like meeting the characters, like knowing them... But after that I usually read only AU stories I have some ism (schoolAU, nekoAU, vampireAU,....)
What make an AU interesting is, I think, a well written story with a good plot, well constructed (I mean the reader should say 'no way that's too much' or 'why are they here that's not coherent') but I think that what's made Fanfic AU story interesting is that we recognize the characters I mean that we can't change the name that correspond to them that fit them. ....
Hope I answered your questions and you understood my random thoughts!!!

1. Of course I've read stories with character death. DANG IT ENGLISH TEACHERS Y U ASSIGN SAD STORIES

2. Not applicable hee hee

3. I don't read AU often. I used to totally reject them, quite honestly. But then I read Story of Us and your daebakkness so now I'm hooked. XD

4. Most of all, an AU had to be well-written. It has to be super descriptive because the environment isn't just a dorm room or a dance studio anymore. An AU can have a really interesting plot, but if it's not written well to where I get pulled into that world, then no. XD This is not a worry for you though lol.

1. I have read a couple stories where a character died, but I don't necessarily like to because I know I will cry. If I find one that sounds really good and even though I know I am going to be sad, I will read it anyways because, well, I love GRi and sometimes a good cry is necessary from time to time. :'(

2. I have read some, but when I decide not to read them it is because I know that I will be really sad and cry and I will probably walk around very depressed for about a week after reading it.

3. A lot of the stories I read are AU.

4. I'm not exactly sure. It jut has to draw you in. I like the settings most of the time. It's nice to see the people I love reacting in different environments with different people and different situations, I guess. As long as my ships are together, then AU stories are pretty awesome. :)

Well first I have to say that I wouldn't read GRi cause I'm biased about my biases. I don't read a lot of angst just because I feel like their is enough angst in real life so I'd rather read happy endings, but I've made exceptions based on the author etc. I don't know if I'd read a fic knowing a main character died, although if I was writing it, I don't think I'd warn the readers about the death, I'd just let it happen. They may be mad if you labeled it angst, well that's apart of the angst.
I love AU stories, since I obviously write them. My favorite is fantasy au, but slice of life is nice too. (Damn you are making me think of all the fics on my back burner. ^^! )
Of course with all that being said, if there is one thing that I've learned, it is that you have to write what you want regardless of whether it will be popular or not. If I did, I'd have to stop writing SunDae and that is something I'm not willing to do. So I say write this GRi as you see fit.

I love AU, but character death makes me uneasy...honestly don't know if I would read it even though I'm sure it'd be beautifully done
