These are 9 simple words, but have so many beautiful and powerful meanings to them. I first heard this saying on the Ellen show when Madonna guest stared on it. I have never been so touched and inspired by such a short sentence before. It had me thinking of a million things at once and I just needed to share this. So many people in this life will say many things to try and bring you down, they will try and tell you that you won't amount to anything, that no one will love you, or a sad break up line "You're nothing without me". In my personal experience so many people had tried to bring me down, telling me these things, but I never knew how I could explain why I pay no mind to what they say. Like for example, I have this dream where I want to be a KIndie or Kpop star. The people who have over heard me never took the time of day to ask me why I wanted to do that, or what caused that dream to manifest within my heart. They just assumed it was because I was some Asian obsessed freak and in return, word got around and so many people would make fun of that dream. And a very sweet and crazy friend named Shelby told me " The people who make fun of dreams, have none of their own." I was greatly empowered by her words, I don't think she has any idea(I loves her).  Those 9 simple words sums up everything that I have wanted to tell my friends, to try and explain to them how I can go unaffected by peoples words. I maybe down for a little bit but I immediately get back up again as if nothing has happened. I'm not sure why I'm writing this or if anyone will see, but I just wanted to tell anyone who needed to see this that we are strong, and we can handle anything life throws at us, we can go through crude words or name calling because of those 9 simple words. They can only hurt you, if you let them.
