Well, from 2012, I suggest C-Clown and 100% if you want something other than BAP or EXO. 100% is Teen Top's brother group in the company, and are quite the talented kids. While C-Clown may be a little unknown due to their music company, but they have strong singers and rappers as well, and their newest mini album 'Young Love' is quite good. You can also try BTOB, but beware of their 'WoW' song, because it sounds really similar to Backstreet Boys/Nsync songs from the late 90s. But they are quite talented as well, it's just that 'WoW' isn't (in my opinion) that great of a song.

From 2013, I suggest M4M (Mystery Formula). They only have an MV, a showcase in Beijing, and just only debuted on Mcountdown this month, but they have the talent and experience to make them pretty big. Cube basically kept them training for 4 years, polishing up their language skills (since 1 is from China, 2 from Hong Kong, and 1 from Taiwan) and being financially smart about them, so they'll be around to stay for a while. They will be dual promoting in China and SK. There are 4 members and they are all really talented and really goofy and cute together. Good vocals, good stage presence, and they can sing live really well (w/out lip syncing). Supposedly they will have a mini album coming out within the next couple of weeks. I feel like they could be the rookie group of 2013.

For girl groups, I would go with D-unit. I'm not much for girl groups either, but these girls are pretty interesting and very talented. Plus, they are a smaller group, so names and faces will be easy to remember. Music is good and they have strong vocals.
