` ♡ ⋮ maid latté café. ⋮ Chiko
` ♡ ⋮ WHAT ARE YOU REALLY LIKE ⋮
( character traits ) : playful, loyal, stubborn, spontaneous, sweet {Strawberry Short-cake ♡}-This girl is the epitome of "child", she's fun, boisterous, naive, gullible, clumsy, idiotic, nooby and very, very cute. She's fawned over by everyone because her adorability is just too much to resist and she often indulges herself with sweets and cake, it seems like food is her best friend. She's innocent and pure so some-times its very hard for her to understand injokes and some of her friends wonder if she's ever even heard the word "" before. She's super stubborn and isn't exactly level-headed, doing stupid that things that will make you laugh in frustration and getting upset or hurt over the most ridiculous things. Like once, someone she saw a Hello Kitty animation where she lost her stuffed animal and Chiko cried because she was so heart-broken. She's sensitive but very, very sweet and bubbly, almost comparable the Bubbles from the powerpuff girls. She sometimes also has rare moments of genius where she does brilliant things by accident. For example, she was watering some flowers by the front of the shop and lost focus, ending up spraying a passer-by on a bike. The thing was, the passer-by was somewhat drunk and was going to crash straight into the glass store-front but Chiko managed to knock him clean off his bike without even noticing. The girl is oblivious, completely and utterly clueless. Mind you, she's pretty entertaining to be around and hilarious too. {Tiramisu ♡}-Oh so many layers to the Chiko cake. Anyway, as I mentioned in her background, Chiko is a literary genius, she has an artistic way of thinking (which makes her so 4-dimensional) and despite her child-like mentality, she's incredibly sensitive to other people's feelings and she's completely observant in that area. Even though she's not someone you would seek out for advice, her words are comforting and optimistic and just by being her friend, you can't help but be happy around her. She fought so hard for acceptance as a child, not living innocently but growing up too fast when really, her mind couldn't keep up. She's now reliving her childhood years as an adult and doesn't give a flying crap about what other people think. She's stubborn like a child and sometimes has unreasonable demands but really, one of her major flaws is that she never seeks help if she has a problem. Sure, she's babied and she's looked after simply because she's so gullible and clueless she probably wouldn't know if she landed on a magic carpet in Africa but her deep insecurities and troubles are never spoken. This worries her friends because as they say: it's too perfect to be true. She's too optimistic sometimes and even if that is a result of her innocence, it's sometimes because of the insecurity about the worth of her being. Because her family never accepted her for who she was. It's gotten a lot better but sometimes, it still sneaks up on her. The seed of inferiority they planted in her can never be erased. {Angel Cake ♡}-This girl almost never runs out of energy, she's always flying here and there and perpetually cheerful. She is sweet and she is kind but she's kind of vulnerable, watching her function on a daily basis is like watching a deer trapped in head-lights. Chiko is unusually lucky, she somehow always manages to turn bad luck into good fortune and her friends are constantly breathing sighs of relief around her. Sometimes, its amazing how observant and smart sounding she is and the next second she'll be back to a hyperactive, giggling sweet-maniac. Something that a lot of people do around her is face-palm. Sure, she's funny but lord, how can one person be so gullible and naive? Chiko is very rarely embarrassed {unless it involves Wufan} and is forever losing/forgetting/hurting herself or something. The girl loves children and animals and is very easily fascinated and entertained. She was once quite happy to sit, waiting for her sister and father to come out of their meeting just watching the clock tick away. Just like a sweet child. She has an impossibly pure heart too and almost doesn't believe in the bad of the world. Constantly floats on cloud nine and eats a lot too. ( background ) : Something that most people wouldn't know about Chiko is that she's a literature prodigy, her haiku have won prestigious awards for her. Part of her dreamy, romantic and innocent traits of her personality are due to her days spent musing over the world. She writes anonymously under her pen name "Skye"and has completed two novels, both of them romance best sellers. However, she was born in a family of prestige and of honor {political diplomats} and she wasn't allowed to eat sweets or live as a proper child which is why she's reliving it now, when she's much older. Her mother died when she was seven and she was left to fend for herself against her cold father who only wanted to mold her into perfection and her manipulative sister who liked rubbing it in her face how much prettier she was than Chiko. Most of her young life, after the passing of her mother was spent trying to please her father and her sister by doing well at school. She was stubborn and refused to let herself be "weak" and never allowed herself to be immature, clumsy, forgetful and optimistic like she always wanted to be. They never really gave her the love and affection that a young child needed so instead of sleeping, Chiko would secretly have tea parties with her dolls and eat sweets, maybe write a song or two and sing softly. This is what she blamed her miniscule height on {lack of sleep}. After graduation from school, with all her years of built up courage, she told her immediate family that she would be making a living off her writing and she indeed was not going to go to college to study medicine like her father wished. She always had an obsession with cosplay and fantasy so the being a maid-waitress was a dream come true. Her mentality is still completely like a child's, being a maid is super fun and she gets to wear super cute uniforms. Also, her friends helped her accept herself for who she is so she is what she is now: a spastic bundle of joy, rainbows and unicorns. She's scarily enthusiastic and optimistic sometimes.
Her family never approved of her writing and despite being bubbly and sweet on the outside, she was fighting very hard for acceptance which is why she relied on other people to baby her. She constantly tried to act tougher and smarter, all of which failed to impress her father. As a child, she went to school in Osaka then moved to Tokyo {her father wanted her to get a taste of the "big" city} for middle school and senior school where she spent her days as the school's resident sweetheart. People couldn't help but baby her with her sweet and playful demeanor, even finding her unreasonable demands for food and candy adorable. Her stubbornness and perseverance got her good grades but she was never the first, probably because she spent too much time day-dreaming and baking cupcakes. The girl would turn op at school with boxes of home-made chocolate which she showered on everybody. At first, they found it kind of burdensome but she was just too adorable to resist. At school she was known as everyone's Valentine. Chiko loved school, it was somewhere where she fit in and was universally liked. ` ♡ ⋮ IT'S GETTIN' ALL SHOUJO UP IN HERE ⋮
( personality ) : Wufan is abstruse, hard to comprehend and a man of very few words. He was once a dorky child, innocent and happy but the brutal discipline within his family never allowed him to really be a child as they tried again and again to mold him into perfection. Underneath the intimidating glare, the frightening tall height, he's a man with a soft spot for children and animals and is actually quite sensitive. Wufan has famously slender fingers that have graced thousands of piano keys as his family boasted of his musical skills when in reality, he hated the instrument and would've been much happier with the drums or guitar. He's careful and weary of everything that he does and has the tendency to worry and panic a little too much, despite his face always being composed into a smooth mask of calm. He's cryptic and shows love in roundabout ways, never directly telling someone he likes them. Since the death of his parents in a hit-and-run accident in China, he was shipped to Japan to stay with his grandparents where they did not allow him to be any less than the best. Wufan has lost a lot of people that he loved, leaving behind his friends in China was painful and his parents, even more so. He's cautious about intimacy, almost frightened of being emotionally bound to another person. Really, he'd love to work with children and see them grow under his tender care but that doesn't stop him from putting his own patients in top priority. He often overworks himself and isn't social at all, opting to stay at home and watch cartoons (his guilty pleasure) rather than going out clubbing with his more fun and dynamic group of friends. This guy professes love through acts of kindness and it's extremely difficult for him to say "I love you". He's too mature for his own good, an over thinker and a realist, a closet romantic. He'd love to have someone to bestow bouquets of roses from but his heart isn't healed enough yet. He finds it hard to express his feelings and is extremely stoic, never telling anyone his problems and never letting himself look weak.
The guy is almost emotionless but really, he has quite a hot temper and a chilling kind of anger. He does hold grudges and works in a silent, deadly way. He's mostly sensitive when it comes to his work and his love life, he's fiercely protective about the people that he loves. Most people don't bother provoke him anyway because he seems like the kind of guy that without batting an eyelid, would pull out ninja stars and start annihilating everyone in the room. Wufan needs to lighten up and learn how to live, maybe start being a bit more of a kid? He finds Chiko infuriating but loveable. I hope their relationship can be somewhat a father-daughter relationship where she lights up his life and he spends his time trying not to make his adoration for her too obvious. And he incessantly worries about her whereabouts and is somewhat possessive. She learns to accept herself and he learns of courage and happiness. They should be polar opposites but still fit together perfectly like jigsaw pieces. I think this couple could make for many super funny moments with Chiko such a dynamic character and Wufan drowning himself in worry and face-palming at her idotic actions. He wonders how one girl can have so little common sense. They should work in perfect balance. He should work up the courage to introduce her to his grandparents and then be blown awya by her real identity, and probably be very sulky afterwards too. Because she forgot to tell him, being so wrapped up in her own little world and all.
` ♡ ⋮ WELCOME HOME, MASTER ⋮
( how did you find out about this job? ) : I'm Chiko. I don't find these things, they find me. No I'm kidding, I found this on a cosplay website and I knew it was for me.
` ♡ ⋮ PLEASE COME BACK SOON ⋮ ( scene suggestions ) : » The maid-waitresses are going to celebrate Chiko's birthday which she's totally clueless about because she spends too much time on other things like cakes and cartoons. She often doesn't remember important days and her own birthday is no exception. They plan a surprise party and she's so grateful she bursts into tears in which the graceful nadeshiko has to step in and comfort her with her gift, a giant Rilakumma doll taller than Chiko herself. Now that doll entertains her for three hours and it instantly becomes her new best friend. Afterwards, she heads home and her roommate tells her that a mysterious man left a gift for her on the doorstep. It's Wufan and he gets her Hello-kitty band-aids because she always gets hurt and then hates wearing band-aids because they're ugly. She ends up wearing the entire box of them, the next day at work and her co-workers can't help but sigh, gustily. » An obnoxious customer is harassing one of the waitresses and Chiko not-so-accidentally spills burning hot coffee onto his pants. The she pulls the most heartbroken expression and even the customer himself finds it impossible to be angry at her. Oh the power of being cute. » Chiko, being Chiko ends up slipping and scraping her knee so badly, she needs stitches. Wufan takes her to his private office and patches her up, getting super irritated at her for being so clumsy. She ends up being really unhappy and hurt so she runs off after he tells her to rest and plays with all the children in the neurosurgery ward. They love her vivaciousness and her bright smile and she starts visiting them as much as she can, helping them make paper stars and singing despite her horrible voice. He finds that adorable and feels guilty for yelling at her so much. He makes a very awkward apology afterwards that makes Chiko's room-mate laugh.
» Chiko on a sugar high from all her cake eating. Very crack material, I think it would be very appropriate for a themed event day » 80 Days around the world || a day where they get to explore the cultures of the world, also a day where Chiko goes full-out with her costumes. Last year, she was an African tribe chief and she wore an oversized turban the entire day. She thinks she may dress up as a French princess this year or Tarzan. » White Day || the waitress-maids do the bidding of their predominantly male customers 364 days of the year, now it's their turn to treat the maids with something special » Fantasy || fairies and unicorns, all you could wish for » Pink Ribbon || one day where they raise funds for the cancer foundation and they all get to wear pretty pink and all for a good cause! » Masquerade || guess who is who and win a special prize » Pajama Party || sleep-wear and cute girls, what's not to like? Needless to say, the typical tomboy isn't too happy
» Winter wonderland || icicles, fake snow and warm cups of coffee. Maybe we could employ the waitresses as Santa's little elves?
