My tears fall for the families in Connecticut.

Imagine being that parent, not being able to see your six year old’s joyous face on Christmas Day as they opened their presents.

Not being able to enjoy Christ’s birth with them.

Not being able to tuck them in at night or see their shining faces in the morning.

Imagine how those parents feel. They were robbed of their children. Those few years with them. Those children had so much to look forward to, to live for.

So here’s to the families that will have unopened gifts under the tree this Christmas.

Here’s to the families that have empty little beds tonight.

Remember, we have 20 new little angels with Jesus. They are happy, unafraid, safe, and smiling.

God has them in his arms tonight, and forever to come.

Through your pain, may you feel His arms around you, and give you comfort. Your wounds that hurt your hearts may never heal, but remember that God is here. He will never leave you. He is always there.

Tears fall tonight.

Hearts hurt tonight.

People have come together tonight.

Please remember the families in your prayers. Even if you aren’t Christian, say some words of comfort. Give them a moment of silence.

They need it, so much.

Give them the comfort and the warmth they need to make it through this time. 

Whether you believe in the Lord or not, He is with them tonight. Let him in to your hearts and take away the hurt and the pain. He is always there with open arms.
