Jongin was not lying when he said he was proud with how Sehun was now.

His calm best friend, his shy side kicks.

His rocks when he hit bottom.

That's how they were a year ago when attending the school together,

and that's how they were when staging the act side by side.

Always together and side by side.

A fan was bravely enough to ask why they always being put in the middle.

"Because they're the maknaes." Baekhyun once said with a smile that caught his eyes.

"We are only protecting them." Chanyeol giggles while spreading his happy virus on the set.

"Its better than let one bothered me." Kyungsoo bursted with his usual clueless face but his lips twitched a little smirk.

"They behaved when they're together." Joonmyun laughed while patting the youngest's back softly.

And the two that involved would only laughed and shoved each other (or exchanging secret glances and touches) like it is the most natural thing to do as responds.

But when their sunbaenim asked Sehun to dance outside his usual safe zone and he did it,

(Jongin was a little bit afraid for him for a moment so he touched him to give encourangement, because that what the younger would do for him if he was in that position too)

Jongin knew that not only him who was turn into 'Kai' because Sehun was changed too.

And while he was proud at him for doing so,

sometimes, just sometimes when he was a selfish bestfriend, he wished everything was stay as it was.

"Hyung,  break the leg!" 

Suddenly he heard a voice in his ear whispered softly, and instantly he saw a smiling Sehun, smiled the smile he reserved for Jongin only (or he hoped so), and his smile was never bigger.

"Will do that Sehun-ah, will do that."

He slung his arm on the younger shoulder and nudged him to the camera's way and they laughed together with their eyes.
