Time really flies fast without you noticing it. I’ve just realized it’s been three years since I’ve been writing DaraGon stories. I never really imagined I’d end up writing more DaraGon stories after The Hidden Love was finished. Ideas popped into my mind every now and then, some of them pushing through, some got shelved, divided and distributed to other stories.

Over these three years, I’ve received a lot from you guys – support, comments, banners, trailers and even some, giving me items. I don’t really have that much to give you guys but my sincerest Thank You. Comments, tweets and messages would sometimes say that the latest chapter made you cry or laugh or giddy. I feel the same reading your comments and feedback to my stories and chapters. I always say this, but comments and feedback served as food to a storyteller’s mind.
But really, just the fact of you reading my stories, that’s already a big thing for me.
I never really thought I’d end up writing stories. I love writing, yes. It’s a hobby, a stress-reliever. But I was more into writing poems before. I wrote poems and give them as a gift to my friends, I wrote poems to say Happy Birthday to a friend or say goodbye, etc. I even wrote a poem called “Sandara Park” when I was in high school and it’s the very first poem I’ve written in Tagalog, hahahahaha.
So I guess, it all started with me being a fan of Dara even before she was here in the Philippines. I remember I used to save my school allowance just to vote for her in SCQ before, bought almost all magazines with her face plastered in the cover before, went to watch her movies, bought her CD and got it signed, bought movies, etc.
Then, the news of her being part of 2NE1 spread out and I was so proud and happy for her at that time. At that time as well, I was a TabiSan/TopDara shipper (blame it on Gummy’s I’m Sorry MV). I didn’t really pay that much attention to Bigbang or GD or the other members before. I only had my eyes on Dara and 2NE1, hahaha. But that changed when I’ve seen buffy/ryelsi’s Daragon video. I instantly became an appler/DaraGon shipper, haha.
I don’t know how to whip fan videos or create banners and I don’t really know that much of how to go around forums so I don’t really have that much of a contribution to any activities. The only way I could think of to contribute was to continue writing stories, so I did. And I hope that in a way, I was able to entertain you.
Then, three years had gone by so fast! Whew, who would have thought that a noob writer like me would end up having erm, around 14 stories, eh? Hahahahaha.
There were questions like, “what inspired you to write this story?”
The answer is simple: DaraGon of course! Hehehe, cheesy much? There were instances that I wanted to write stories pairing Dara with other artists but I always end up writing DaraGon. Even The Selfless Love, it is a DaraYang story but still, it ended up with DaraGon, haha.
There would come a time that more writers will come forth; that you will no longer find interest in reading my stories (I know you’re only reading them because of DaraGon, LOL); that I will stop writing and just be contented to fangirl and read other’s stories as I haven’t read DaraGon stories, really – except probably for Obli’s Mirror, LOL. I just don’t have time to read yet.
Truth be told, Remnants Of The Heart was supposed to be my last story as I was planning to stop writing already. After ROTH, I was set for retirement (LOL at the term). I suddenly feel so old. I’ve had my reasons for wanting to stop writing at some point – first, I’m a shipper as well and I do want to spazz and like what I’ve said, I haven’t read a Daragon fan fiction ever since I started writing. I would want to read DaraGon stories as well. I’ve had my fair share of receiving not-so-good messages or basically hateful messages as well. I guess, we can never really please everyone. But I just find it weird and absurd sometimes as to why people would go such a length to say some things about you or the couple you’re shipping and writing. I can be very patient, I don’t get offended easily as I know everyone has their own opinions, own biases to support, own pairs to ship but sometimes, I just wanted to say, Hey, I’m not here to make a living. I’m not here to please people with my simple words or boring plots or weird and plain characters. I’m not writing to gain the critiques’ favor. I’m here to entertain my fellow shippers. I mean, people can bash me or my stories all they want, I would just accept it since I know for a fact that my stories aren’t really that good. But saying “Why don’t you just stop writing?” is a little bit of too much, you know? It would not hurt to have a friendlier approach, neh? Hehe. I also have a life to live outside my fan girl world and I feel bad sometimes everytime I get too busy that I sometimes could not update my stories, so I’m really sorry for making you guys wait sometimes.
I’m not really sure if I’ll still post my stories online but one thing’s for sure, I’ll still go ahead and fan girl and spazz with you guys. I might be more active in twitter after all my stories are finished so I hope you guys will still keep in touch with me, hehe.
