Character Personality ——————

(Background)
Daejoon grew up in a decent home. His parents loved him unconditionally, or so he thought, and he had a caring older sister. They had been a happy family, but that happiness didn't last forever especially after Daejoon and his father had come home to find his mother cheating. He was only eight at the time and didn't understand what his mother had done, but knew it must have been bad because that day his parents split up. Daejoon moved to Korea with his father and his sister stayed in Australia with their mother. Almost as soon as Daejoon and his father moved to Korea, his father began abusing him not only physically, but mentally as well. By the time he turned ten he had his wrist broke multiple times, his right arm broken three times, his left shoulder dislocated two times, had used crutches three times, and was convinced he was the reason his parents had divorced. He had been made to believe that if he hadn't have been born his parents would still be together and his mother would have never cheated. He was also bullied quite often in school because of his australian accent and his quiet and shy personality.

He was thirteen when he had his first crush. It was on a new student, Nam Jaejin, who had been the first person to talk to him without making fun of his still thick Australian accent. It was then that he realized that it wasn't because he wasn't attracted to any girls in his school, but that he wasn;t attracted to girls in general and was gay. At first he tired to deny that he had feelings for another boy, but when those feelings only got stronger he began to accept them. Jaejin, who shared the same dream of becoming a rapper, became Daejoon's best friend, his first kiss, and his first boyfriend. They first kissed when they were fifteen and had both found out they had been accepted by YG Entertainment as trainee's. Daejoon had been so excited that they had both been accepted he just kissed Jaejin. A year after being accepted into YG and a year after the kiss, they began dating. They had kept their relationship a secret for several months, but one night Daejoon's father had come home from work early caught them in a heated make-out that was about to lead further. Daejoon's father was furious that his son was gay. Daejoon got the worst beating of his life that night and never saw Jaejing, who had managed to get out of the house in time, again. If it hadn't have been for the neighbour who had called the police, Jaejin would have probably been killed.

It took him a while to physically heal from that beating. It wasn't until he moved in with an older couple, who took care of him until he was eighteen, that he began to also heal emotionally and mentally from the abuse his father had inflicted on him. Once he turned eighteen he moved out and began to live on his own. He also left YG Entertainment and switched to MSP3L Entertainment, where he also became known for rapping skills, that year after being dropped as a trainee.

(Personality)
Daejoon is, no doubt, one of the most physically intimidating person anyone could meet. Although, that's only on the outside because once a person get's to know him well enough, they'd see that behind his intimidating aura and haunting eyes that he's a really kind caring person. He does come off a bit cold, but he's just not exactly talkative. Even when he's asked a question, he will get out of it with just a short answer. It's not often that people will get close enough to him to see his talkative side, even the other members have a hard time carrying a decent conversation with him before they get frustrated with his lack of talking.

However, when he's interacting with fans he does become more open with his emotions and talks more. He knows his fans are a big part of them being successful, so he tries to show them his more charming and talkative side. (Though, that didn't stop the fans from dubbing him the 'ice prince' because of his cold aura.) He likes nothing more than to just be able to let the other members do most of the talking when it comes to speaking to larger crowds.

It may be rare to hear him carry on a long conversation, but it's even rarer to witness him express an emotion more than his blank expression. It's not to say that he doesn't have emotions, because he definitely does, but that he's very good at hiding what he's truely feeling. He does smile occasionally, but that's only when he's exceptionally happy or around fans.

(Trivia)
♫ Insects, mainly of the flying variety, scare him. He's always found his fear childish and tries to hide it.
♫ He always seems to carry around eyeliner. He's practically addicted to wearing it and prefers how he looks with it on.
♫ Any mention of turns him into a blushing ball of embaressment. It's not because he's inexperienced, because he is, but because he finds the whole thought of it embarassing to think about.

Character Relationships ——————

(Family Members)
♫ Park Jaejin | Father | 52 | Jaejin was probably one of the worst fathers, but that never stopped Daejoon from still caring about him. Even though they don't talk any more, Daejoon still thinks about his father and often wonders what his life would have been like if his father had been more caring.
♫ Park Junhee | Mother | 52 | Junhee may have been a caring mother towards Daejoon when she was still with his father, though, that changed after the divorce. It's not to say that she's a bad mother, but keeping in touch with her son couldn't have been too hard. She didn't need to act like he didn't exist. So, they don't talk.
♫ Park Jiyeon | Sister | 23 | Daejoon hasn't seen much of his sister since their parents seperated. He envys her in a way because she got life so easy while he had to deal with an abusive father.

(First Friend)
♫ G-Dragon | Big Bang | G-Dragon is like the brother Daejoon always wanted. He helps Daejoon out when he needs it and really does treat him like his younger brother. They first met while Daejoon was a trainee and G-Dragon decided he wanted to mentor Daejoon as his own rapping prodigy. Through that experience did they become close and G-Dragon remains one of few people that get to see Daejoon's talkative side.

(Love Interest 1)
♫ Sungjong | Infinite | Sungjong is a completely needy diva and Daejoon, surprisingly, likes about him. And even though he's a total diva and says whatever is on his mind, Sungjong still seems to be very caring and kind to those closest to him. The thing Daejoon likes the most about Sungjong is his ablility to laugh at most everything. They first met at a music show where Daejoon accidentally walked into the wrong dressing room and even though there were the rest of Infinite in the room, Daejoon's eyes couldn't leave Sungjong's twinkling eyes. He was turned into a blushing, stuttering, and clumsy guy from his normal collected and stone faced self. Even in their future meetings, Daejoon couldn't stay collected and always seems to make a fool of himself whenever Sungjong is near.

(Love Interest 2)
♫ G-Dragon | Big Bang | G-Dragon may be like a brother to Daejoon, but for whatever reason it is Daejoon can't help but feel an attraction for the older man. It may be because of the way he treats Daejoon like he treats every one else, with respect, that he's so attracted to him. Daejoon is probably also attracted to the way he cares for his fans, friends, and family. After all, G-Dragon is a really caring guy that will do most anything for his friends, including Daejoon. If it wasn't for G-Dragon's, supposedly, brotherly feelings towards him, there is no doubt in Daejoon would have confessed his crush long ago.
