So I've been lurking around on  here (some of you may have noticed already silently reading) and I've noticed something interesting that I thought I'd share. Usually I would post this on lj, but I don't have many junseob shippers knowing of my existance on there since I'm really a ghost on there lol so I thought I'd share this on here and gather your opinions since it's really been with a lot of the fanfics I've reading on here. 

What I've noticed is that  most Junseob shippers are Yoseob-biased. That's not it though, I've been well aware of this since I started shipping Junseob. It's in fanfics that I've noticed an interesting trend (?), formula (?) where Junhyung is protrayed as an evil heartless bastard who mistreats Yoseob and Yoseob is usually this helpless weakling so someone will usually come in and protect Yoseob (Dujun or Gikwang) thus making Junhyung jealous and causing him to "confess" his feelings to Yoseob and basically telling him that he's his "property or his" and he can't have anyone else. I can't explain how bothersome it is to read fanfics like these especially since I'm Junhyung-biased who's extremely neutral when reading Junseob fics. 

I'm pressed right now because I already had this thing typed up and then it froze when I was about to add the post forcing me to exit out and retype everything again. Anyway I think the real problem I have is Junhyung will be this extremely horrible guy in these fics and Yoseob is just so extremely helpless and weak; basically the damsel in distress effect and then here comes Dujun or a lot recently it's been Kikwang who will come and try to save Yoseob only for them to be turned down by him. Yoseob will then go on to explain "Junnie is just misunderstood or Junnie is really a nice guy" but he's really not. Honestly I feel like these stories are anti-junseob rather than junseob. Here you got great dooseob and kiseob moments, and even hyunseob moment's happening in a JUNSEOB fanfic while the junseob moments are either really ty or bittersweet.

Also sometimes it feels like the author wants Yoseob to have his cake and eat it too. Like say if Junhyung and Doojoon or Kikwang and Junhyung are fighting for Yoseob's affections, both guys will usually get a good amount of his affections in the fanfics and idk that irks me as well because it feels like he's cheating unless he has a LEGIT reason for doing so and they explain later on the story. I mean not all Yoseob-biased authors do this but like a good amount on aff do. Now I'm just rambling.
 

I think I'm losing track of the point though. Tbh what it really seems like to me is that it's a complex to have Yoseob as the defendless weakling and Junhyung as the big bad scary guy because Yoseob is smaller than him. If we can be realistic here for a sec honestly if Yoseob was treated as badly as he is in  these fics I'm pretty sure they wouldn't even be friends. But then again if we are thinking realistically, none of these is real. Anyway I don't really know why junseob fanfics writers tend to do this because irl it's usually Junhyung looking for Yoseob's affections.

Or am I reading too much into this?

Also since we're talking about the dynamics of Junseob's relationship in fanfics, Yoseob doesn't call Junhyung ( or anyone else in Beast for that matter) hyung. Just saying...
