Although I started writing fan fiction in 2005, this style began in 2010, the year that I turned from an anime fan fiction writer to a SuJu fan fiction writer. I'm not sure why my style suddenly shifted; it's not as though I had an idol in writing at that time who I wanted to be like or anything. Oh well. I'm pretty satisfied with my style now. I hope to improve more and more in the future. :">

1) I use simple words. The thesaurus is a convenient tool for most people and showing off your nosebleed-worthy range of vocabulary is awesome, but I prefer not to make things too complicated because doing so would take the audience away from the heart of the story.

2) I CAPITALIZE words that are being shouted or said in a loud voice and italicize thoughts and words that are being emphasized or stressed.

3) I refrain from using multiple exclamation marks and combinations of question marks and exclamation marks. That's the reason why I practice the previous number. :)

4) Even though I know a bit of Korean and a lot of writers do this, I don't include Korean words, phrases, and sentences in my writing unless it's the name of something like food, lyrics of a Korean song, and titles for a person such as "hyung" or "ssi" (it's awkward to translate these to English). I prefer being as faithful as possible to the language I'm using for the fanfic. :)

5) I don't switch the POV. Switching points of view is a technique that I've used sparingly throughout my life as a fan fiction writer.

6) This doesn't apply to my pre-SuJu fanfics (LMAO) but I use the present tense for all of my stories. I used to write in the past tense but now it's so strange for me. *sigh* If only I can edit "Psychotic. Intense. Merciless." so that it can be in the present tense, but it's too late now. :P

7) Conversation > Description.

8) I make sure to include angst, even the tiniest amount of it, to every single one of my works. >:]
