I actually don't mind who is on top to be honest! But I don't think it's right to make Onew only the bottom in Onho.

If I think about Onew/Minho as a real relationship, I see both of them topping at times. There would be no defined top or bottom role. Both of them would be comfortable in either position because they respect and care for each other.

Basically like Southpaw said, how is Minho any manlier than Onew? And even if he is more manly it doesn't mean he can't bottom. Gay men can be manly and still bottom. Being manly is hardly a reason to say someone can't be a bottom.

So tbh I like it when Onew tops and Minho bottoms. But I also like it when Minho tops and Onew bottoms, provided people don't turn Onew into a girl.

The age argument is stupid. Almost as stupid as the height argument, but that one wins. Minho’s ‘serious, charismatic, and manly aura’ is an act (much like Onew's sangtae about half the time). Does that mean he needs to be written as a girly girl in fic? No. Nor does Onew. Minho was given the ‘charismatic’ title for the group, when really he’s no more charismatic than the other members.

How is Minho any manlier than Onew? How do we measure manliness?

Onew’s too cute to top is as retarded as Minho too manly to bottom.

Now, I honestly prefer top!Onew and bottom!Minho. But that doesn’t mean when it comes to the bedroom they can never switch.

People seem to miss how submissive Minho really is in personality.

This whole thing fandom has about Minho always on top (in any pairing) needs to go away.


For Jongyu, I can’t say as much because I haven’t shipped it as much. But the same pretty much applies here as I said above.

Sorry to spam you, but I feel very passionately about this and you're asking for it quite literally, so...

Let's look at Onew's relationship with Minho. From what we see, Minho praises Onew over and over again for being a great leader. He seems to strongly admire him as a hyung and a sunbae. There's a lot of respect going on there. I don't see Onew comment much on Minho to be honest, so I can't give you any examples of how he feels in return but if I would guess, I'd say that Onew feels responsible for Minho to some degree. I suspects that he wants to take care of him, much like he's been said to take care of Taemin. Yes - Minho DOES have a competitive side, but Onew doesn't appear as a real threat to Onew physically, and I think as long as Onew isn't stepping into that arena, Minho doesn't see Onew as competition of any sort. There's just admiration. Respect. So how does it become romantic? That's for you as a writer to decide, isn't it? But the basis that we see from the two in canon would suggest that Onew should have to lead. Minho trusts Onew. He's the follower.

Now Onew and Jonghyun. THE BROS. I think this one is more of a toss up. The two act like dork offs together. I don't think Jonghyun shows as much hyung/leadery respect towards Onew. In fact there have been times when I thought Jonghyun kind of pushed himself into more of the leader role, either because Onew was absent or even just because Onew wasn't fast enough to do it first. That isn't to say that Jong never shows Onew respect. He's praised him before as well, just as Onew has praised Jong. I think their relationship is incredibly mutual. Once again, how they hook up is up to you as an author to decide. It's my opinion that the top in this one depends heavily on how they get together, although I tend to believe that Jonghyun should go towards the bottom simply because he shows more submissive qualities than Onew does.

Mmkay honey, we all have our opinions. The first thing is that none of us know what the idols are really like. For all we know, they really do spend their time at home screwing each other stupid. On the other hand, they may well be close minded homophobic jerks. (Jsyk, I'm censoring myself for your sake, because frankly you seem quite young.)

That said - it is my opinion that Onew is the precise opposite of innocent, and I am shocked and confused by fans who are under the impression that he is. When has he ever given such an impression? (Especially in recent times.) Onew is praised for his leadership abilities. No innocent person can be a good leader, for one thing. You have to learn and make mistakes to be a good leader. Leadership btw is a good dominant trait. He's also said to be a heavy drinker. He's also made very slight dirty jokes on several occasions. Furthermore, have you heard his "y" voice? I'm sorry, but the way that he moans, he's watched some serious - or at least overheard something from the next room... frequently... These are not particularly scandalous points until you consider that he's an idol. I'm not saying that Onew is necessarily the resident bad boy, or even that he's definitely dominant. I'm just saying that he's very far from innocent - and stories that write him as innocent in any form are an immediate turn off to me. I'm not a fan of bottom Onew, but I have read bottom Onew and I would continue to read bottom Onew so long as I thought he resembled Onew in some way. Making someone overly cutesy and "innocent" will never read as Onew to me. Onew shows his joking side more than anything. To joke as he does takes a high level of confidence, yet another show of dominance but anyway that's not to say that he can't be submissive done properly. If you insist on having your Onew bottom, make him a strong and confident, leadery bottom.
