NAME. hwang juyeon (황주연).
NICKNAMES.
(big hwang) paired with yujin's 'little hwang' and is affectionately used by the fans to address the siblings.
(kendall ju-nner) a joking nickname given by the fans, since juyeon likes to play model and frequently can be seen strutting around.
(king of reactions) the general public refer to him like this, since he is definitely the most expressive member of the group. he cannot hide any of his emotions or reactions, earning him this title.
(anime shirt) the predebut nickname used to identify him, since in every single video -- he was wearing an anime-themed shirt.
(step-dad) juyeon isn't actually seen as a parental figure. in fact, he's more of like a drunk uncle that somehow still gets invited to thanksgiving. however, his relationship with levi leads to the group calling him the step-dad of the group.

APPEARANCE.
(pre-debut) juyeon's features were entirely more soft and rounded before debut, as expected of an nineteen year old boy. everything about him seemed to be 'fluffy', his hair, his smile, his aura, just everything. he was something akin to a puppydog, with his bustling energy and gentle appearance. at this time, he also wore glasses and had untouched brown hair.
(post-debut) being almost a year older, juyeon's appearance had drastically matured. although he still kept his puppylike eyes and his wide smile, the features upon which they sat had sharpened. he was especially proud of his developing jawline and muscles, trying to show them off at any point possible. the stylists had dyed his hair a darker colour to add to their vision of maturity, and for the most part it worked -- until juyeon opens his mouth.

"stupidity!" the stylists would retaliate. in the years following debut, juyeon became almost cold looking in appearance and seemed rather intimidating on the rare occasions he wasn't pulling faces. in photoshoots and music videos, he dances with the aesthetic of darkness and grace, and he fits it perfectly. well, so long as he doesn't reference his spongebob tattoo. as for other modifications, juyeon has a helix piercing on his left ear and a small crown on wrist.
STYLE.
(pre-debut) to conceal his idenitity, juyeon used to wear very baggy clothing along with any hat he could find, and whatever mask hyesung would throw his way. his only consistent pointer in the videos, was that he was always wearing anime shirts. logos, characters, phrases -- every single video, there he was. fans would joke that he was definitely a nerd and in a sense, he was but instead of books or video games, it was anime.
