STYLE Her style is simple yet pretty. She dresses very feminine but does not wear very revealing outfits. All her skirts and even shorts have safety shorts under it just incase. BACKGROUND

Sara was born in the fishing town of Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, South Korea. They are a tight knit Christian community. Sara was named after Sarah in the Bible who is the wife of Abraham, the mother of Isaac, and thus the ancestress of all Israel. She grow up in a loving home as a only child. Her parents raise her to be polite and respectful so she listened to all their words. She have good grades and went to church diligently, she was also in the church choir and helped at the Sunday school for little kids when she got older. Her life was very sheltered because her parents control her a lot but then she wasn’t curious about those things because she didn’t know. Since she went to a Christian school she was only around other god fearing Christians. It was hard to rebel because then word gets around the community easily and people get shamed or judged. But it was never her or her friends so she was fine. She wants to study earth and marine science because to her it’s important to preserve the ocean since that’s how many in her community make a living. She thought about going to a Christian university but when she got accepted into Jeju University she just had to go because they are known for sciences.

Sara is the only child so she is independent and can do things on her own but she prefers to do it with friends. She likes to have people with her all the time like a community. But then growing up in a community like that she is easily influenced by the people around her. She listens to their opinions and reflects it on herself. Everyone talked about each other and their private business so Sara too loves a good gossip. When Sara meets Joobin they will get along at first but not everything they will agree with since Joobin is more outspoken. They will argue often and Kanalia has to break them up. Not physical fight though. After finding out she is biual she will not like it at all but since they are roommates she will deal with it and still try to get along. Just try not to talk about the things they disagree on but sometimes it is inevitable. She thinks Joobin is very smart but doesn’t understand anything she says when talking about coding.

Hello. My name is Sara, I’m from Gunsan in North Jeolla Province. It’s a pleasure to meet you.

out of all the colleges in korea, why did you pick jeju university and why your major?

When I found out I got into Jeju University I was so excited because it’s such a good school for nature sciences. My parents work in the fish industry, in Gunsan it is very important for our community. So I want to make sure it is preserved well and be a marine conservationists.

where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I see myself working in Gunsan being a marine conservationist and married to my boyfriend Gion. His interview is after mine, he’s adorable.

what would you say are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?

I think my faith is my strength because it kee[s me grounded and humble. I have good principles to live by. If I have a weakness maybe it is that I am from a small town not a big city so I am new to getting to know new people. But I am excited to learn and experience this.

as a freshman you will reside in chungsam hall, what do you look for in a roommate? any lifestyle habits that you find intolerable?

As a Christian I hope to get roommates that share the same faith as me. But I know it might not be possible so I am open to anything. I would prefer if my roommate doesn’t party so much.

what are you looking forward to the most as an incoming freshman?

I’ve never been outside of Gunsan so I’m excited to explore Jeju. I also heard the campus has beautiful sceneries and gardens so I want to explore those too. Making more friends would be nice as well.

PERSONALITY Since Gion is the oldest child he had many responsibilities so he is a deeply rooted person. It is hard to remove him from his roots and change his mind since he had to instill the same in his siblings. So he closely follows the rules of god like the perfect Christian. He is very kind and willing to help anyone. He is neat and likes to schedule his day. Since he is so deep rooted he judges other that aren’t like him and befriend people similar to him. He seems more serious but comes off as more calm and easygoing. Even if he disagrees he can talk calmly, he does not get mad often. He is serious for his love for Sara, everything he says he means and he really wants to marry her. The only time he will get mad is if someone does something to his loved one.

BACKGROUND  Gion was born in Gunsan, his parents are factory workers in the same Christian community as Sara. He is the oldest of three siblings so he had many responsibilities growing up. He really loved music growing up, he was in the church choir then switched to the band later. It was his dream to take over as the church music director so that’s how he chose his major.

LOVE STORY  Sara met Gion as a kid, they were friends for a long time. When they were 4 they were buddies in the kid choir. They’ve seen each other grow up and started dating when they were 16. Gion asked her to be his girlfriend in front of everyone in the cafeteria in school. It was a hot topic but everyone expect it too. Since then they have been dated. Never looked at others or get tempted by others. In the community they are known as the couple. Even being in different classes could not stop their love. When Sara say she wants to go to Jeju University of course Gion will follow her. They plan to get married after college too. But then when they join college maybe there are more temptations than they thought and it’s harder to make time for each other.

INTERACTIONS  They are really like cheesy and ideal couple that is so innocent. In public they are holding hands and together when they can be. It is obvious they are dating because they are cringe sometimes. It can make the single people feel sick. But they are really in love and only see each other. There isn’t jealous because before in their town there was no temptation. They are lovey dovey in public in a cute way and it is the same in private. Since they are both waiting till marriage and lust is a sin they cannot participate in any ual activities or activities that can lead to ual activities. They don’t even make-out, just peck each other. Both are completely satisfied with it because it’s how they grew up.

TRIVIA Gion works as a piano and guitar teacher on campus. He is a Sunday school assistant with Sara on Sunday’s and plays the piano for the church kids choir. Sometimes Sara will stay to watch the rehearsal. He is apart of the same Bible study club and Jeju University Christian community club too.
