Fiction piracy happens everywhere.

I once experienced too.

I ever thought about this issue.

I thought the pirate decided to steal the fiction with the only purpose to earn money, they steal because they cannot afford to buy the content.

I thought of giving my story with a cheap price - USD 5.00 per book, and I would permit them to publish my story on the web and could monetize it. I thought this would help and might be able to reduce the piracy action.

But, after I met an event, recently, in Cambodia, I changed my mind; I don't want to give anything.

I am a youtuber, I have a channel talking about administrative work in Khmer language.

When I explain about the administrative letter/request, I make a PDF and put it on my blog for the readers to download for free.

When youtube decided to remove ads from Cambodian's video, my channel was impacted. Though I can still monetize and get earn, it is very little. So I changed my policy by stopping making PDF for free download to make Microsoft Word documents about the sample administrative letter/request for sale with the price USD 1.00. But no one buys it.

I thought it might be because my PR was not good enough, so I tried to produce good PR. Later on, I found something making me clear about what we call humans.

The PDF documents are published on my blog's page. That blog I have worked on for 11 years now, I can tell the truth a day, I got only ten views. Since I put free PDF, the number of views has increased, but not the blog's post, it is from the download page.

I shared that page a few times, but it gives me traffic everyday. On the other hand, even if I try to write a post and publish daily, it still cannot attract the view.

Is it because my post does not have good content?

I don't think so; it is because they don't want to read; they want my PDF for their work.

Because of this event, I see clearly that I will not succeed even if I sell my story for one dollar, because the pirate does not care about anything besides they want free things. Unless I give them free, then they will come.

Hence, I withdraw my idea. I don't want to care about anything; I don't want to change anything; everything bad that happens in the society of humans is because of humans themselves.

In conclusion, it is best for me to stay like nowaday - writing quietly from home for free reading.
