A group breathing its very last breath

Chérise is a group that debuted all the way back in 2012, and has seen many members join and leave over the years. They were moderately famous in the early years, but terrible management would eventually become Chérise's demise. The company kept trying to keep them alive desperately, yet would kill them again with their own crappy management decisions. With a lack of payment and bad living circumstances, the group was getting fed up with their company. When in a last desperate move, their company added two young, fresh and naive trainees to the group, the other members snapped. There was no way they would allow those young girls to perform their y songs. They've had enough and requested to nullify their contracts after their first gig with the new line-up, including the contracts of the young ones. When the company refused, it ended up in court, and the five members of Chérise vanished.

The reason why they vanished was because they were still bound to their contracts all the way until the lawsuit ended in 2020. They won, and were finally free, but what now? The older members expected their careers to be over, and requested for the younger ones to try again if they wanted to. But it all changed when Alina mentioned the new survival show she had heard of, and was scared to go alone. Alina joining a survival show alone or with Maya somehow ended up in the whole group joining them. And here we are.

Chérise's last hurrah. They came as a group, appearing on cameras for the first time in almost 4 years, to the shock of many. Alina and Maya had grown older, but Chérise still refused to do concepts those two weren't really considered old enough for. They are aware that one of them joining the final group would probably result in Chérise never being complete again, but they are fine with it. The older members are there to enjoy their last moments on camera, not really having high expectations because of their age and reputation, while the young ones focus on putting themselves out there to make it to the final group. A 30+ year old still aiming for the spotlight, a woman eternally overshadowed by the people around her, a female idol actively breaking the dating taboos, a sweet, naive foreigner and a little bomb of talent that may be disregarded because she doesn't fit idol standards.
