Today marks the 10th Debut Anniversary for EXO. It has been a decade of an amazing journey with the boys. Out of those 10 years of excellency, I’ve been walking with EXO for around 8 years or 9 years? I wasn’t with them since the very first day but I am sure I’ll be with them until forever. 
This blog post was written with the nostalgic feeling I currently felt as an EXO-L. I need an outlet for my feeling I guess lol. It will be word vomits hahahaha…

I started stanning them during their legendary EXO Showtime days. Those 12 dorks that were a bit awkward during the first few episodes but then gradually becoming more entertaining hahahaha… I waited for their translated episodes every week and that is something I didn’t normally do because I am the type that marathon the whole season after they are finished. But such wasn’t the case with EXO Showtime. And thus, I was formally gaining access to EXO Planet as an EXO-L.

Being an EXO-L since EXO Showtime era means I’ve been with them since late 2013 or early 2014. I really can’t remember hahaha… But yes, I was there when 3 members announced their departure, I was there during the uncertainty of EXO’s future as a group. I was there when people doubted that EXO will last as a group. But here we are now, celebrating their 10th Debut Anniversary. Anyone watched their Instagram lives last night? That happy dilemma they gave me over which live I should watch XD Also, Lay Zhang Yixing released JIU for their 10th Debut Anniversary (gosh I love repeating this phrase over and over again). Anyone cried listening to the members’ recording as the intro? They really do love making EXO-Ls cry aren’t they?

Being an EXO-L is not for the weak-hearted. To be an EXO-L, someone needs to be ready to weather the storms with EXO. There is no time to rest in this fandom. Even on this day, there are things to celebrate and things to ponder about. We are celebrating their 10th Debut Anniversary but we are also receiving news that Yixing is parting ways with SM. It’s not unpredictable. We all can see it coming for quite some time. I saw some people worrying on my timeline and some are joyous of his freedom. For me? For me, as long as all the 9 boys are happy, I am okay with their decisions. It’s their life and their career. Whatever path they took, I am willing to be with them along the way. If EXO decided to join Chromosome Entertainment Group? Big win for me hahahaha…  this doesn’t mean I am letting go of any of the members. No. In fact, I am holding on to their hands much like the lyrics in Chanyeol’s Hand. I am greedy like that hahaha…

I had so much more to say but I am not an eloquent writer. My writing days ended as soon as high school was over and that was eons ago. Creative juices haven’t been filled into my brain and I often struggle to write beautiful sentences as much as I like to hahaha… I only know how to write factual sentences now hahahaha… even this blog post requires me some time to type because apparently my typing speed had been reduced and my brain won’t form the sentences I intended to write. So yeah, I guess I should end my rant here.
