gtky as a writer (tagging dinjin & candy so they come back + anyone else who's interested!!)
thank you emilieee for the tag!!
- what genre, styles, and topics do you write about?
- genre – romcom & definitely, and i also feel like most of my stories have an office life element to them. but this is based on fics that I started 7 years ago as I haven't really started anything new since, so what i actually want to write about is a whole other question (to sum up the answer for that: i want to try other genres like drama/angst & fantasy, and showbiz au lol). although I'll probably keep injecting a bit of romcom in everything i write because it's really fun to write hahah
- styles – if POV falls under this category then omg I've only ever written 1st & 2nd pov! hoping to change that soon though!

- how long have you been writing?
- i started writing when i published my first fic on AFF which means around mid December of 2013? I'm not a consistent writer, I remember taking a couple months break in 2016, updated like... only 2-3x? in 2018 and completely vanished in 2019 until early 2021. I didn't write a single thing between 2019-2020 lmaoo so the net amount of time I've spent writing comes to about... around 5.5 years i think

- why do you write?
- it's just fun being able to play God in your fics? lol you can make anything happen and i kinda like both the creative and problem-solving aspects of it. also because apparently saving pictures of cute Korean men is not enough i must project my love for them in a long-winded 60-chapter babysitter/single parent/mafia au fic

- what parts of writing do you love and hate?
- i love writing any type of bickering scene honestly idk it just comes out of me so naturally that sometimes i'll come up with multiple different versions and then get stuck deciding which is actually funniest/makes the most sense/best overall
- romantic dialogue is soo mmMMMM too and i both love and hate writing arguments because the buildup can be so mMH but like i always need it to flow & build well and sometimes that's just a lot easier said than done
- i was honestly dreading the action chapters of incredible things (ch 57-58?? i think??) so much bc i had such a hard time planning/envisioning them in my head but turns out when i started them they were among the easiest IT scenes to write? honestly i think i lowkey hate the thought of writing all major conflict scenes
and ofc i love bcs i'm a

- how do you overcome writer's block?
- sometimes i just start new drafts in my writing app (i have so many fic beginnings lol) but most times i just wait it out and do other things that i'm feeling more in the mood for....... that's how incredible things took 7 years to finish LMAOOO

- are you working on something atm?
- last 2 chapts of rumour has it, the new fics i said i'd start this year (honestly i think all the new year new me bs in January made me too ambitious abt this), and a potential rewrite of one of my older oneshots but they're all like half-baked chapters lol

- what are your writing goals this year?
- finishing RHI is gonna happen for sure so i'm not really counting that as a goal – so i'd say starting + finishing at least 1 (short)fic and 1 old oneshot rewrite? (how very taylor swift of me) and i also wanna try the genres/aus i said i want to try above but the new fic i planned to start first doesn't really align with that so the maths is not mathing and i might just,,, end up abandoning my plan and do something else entirely LOL
- also this seems rlly simple but i hope to still squeeze in some time for writing when i start FT this fall?? the field i'm going into is notorious for being crazy busy so... we'll see if my readers end up with actual content or a sad little blogpost about my sad little life
