seth is a charming and carefree man, often teasing and making light-hearted conversations with strangers and acquaintances on his travels. he does not take liberty in labeling people as "rivals" or "enemies" because he's just not that type of person. he enjoys talking with people, but he can sometimes be socially awkward, thus making him appear unfriendly. he understands one's feelings, seth's observant character coming into play as he listens and talks to those about their issues. he does not hesitate to take action if it calls, taking care of his friends and family, despite the surroundings and background.

along with his socially awkward person, seth is absent-minded on many occasions, whether the thoughts are clouding his mind or he just simply cannot concentrate, he becomes distant from reality, causing him to be anxious and wary. he hides it to the best of his ability, being able to shield his emotions through his playful exterior. rather than setting high standards for oneself and others, seth is just a man who is self-critical when it comes to difficult complications — why can he not do this? why can he not do that? — things that make his flaws and insecurities appear, and his hidden emotions flow out.

a runaway prince? he was expected to become a great king, but because he symbolized pain and destruction, a lot of their people were skeptical about him and his views. he was ridiculed as being too soft of a child of a king and feared for being the prince of chaos.

he had tried getting his parents' approval, but even they were disappointed that he was not up to their expectations; too kind, too weak, too fragile.
when he was kidnapped on a day out, he was afraid. despite being the prince to their land, no one had looked for him. he had hoped his parents, the guards, a citizen would have came and taken him away, but no one did. he had given up because a prince that was to be sold? that was something seth would have never lived through.
that was the day that prince sutekh had unleashed the true chaos inside of him. the fire had burned inside of him, and he had destroyed everything and everyone he saw to run and escape.
when he returned home with the fire scorched into his eyes that held no emotion, with hands burned from fire, with clothes torn from chaos, sutekh knew at that very moment in the eyes of his parents that he had become something.
and it was that moment that sutekh decided — no. he will not sit back and accept his parents' new found approval of him. he is worthy, he was worthy, long before he had obtained his vision, and he would prove it to them. following that aftermath, sutekh embarked on a journey of discovery, of pain, of regrets, of self. he would prove that he was worthy despite his vision.
(i honestly don't know what he's doing in liyue? like i wanted him to be a sort of bookkeeper, writing his travels in journals, however not necessarily selling them.)

honestly, they're just very cute with each other? seth wants all the attention from the entire party (obviously), but traveler gets all of his love because traveler, look at this! and traveler, look at that! seth likes to cuddle with them, to look at the stars with them, and to reminisce of home with them; at least, a home that they desire.
the traveler reminded sutekh of himself; a lost individual searching for something, and he had wanted to help them. as a once prince, his duty was to look for his people and help those in need, and with the traveler, sutekh had made a promise to find that something through their journey.

ending i was actually going to use ookurikara but i wasn't sure what his actual race was (some say indian, others say indonesian, and then there's japanese) so i just decided on ramesses <3
i got his personality from another character that i (did not but did) wrote a long time ago (cough, 2 years ago) with little tweaks to fit him better, though i still feel like there is something missing i cannot place...

password i love AETHER being the other twin because a lot of people on the social forums seem to think that you need to be emotionless to be the villain; lumine is that type of "villain". the emotion in aether's voice(s) just makes him so much more better as the other twin because i am honestly sick of stereotyping villains as emotionless people whose only goal is to get revenge. you do not need to look evil, or act cold, or distance yourself from your own kin to become the villain.
