everyone wants to be sohee's friend. she's very friendly and warm-hearted, always greets back to anyone that says hi to her on the street, and reacts to every (good) comment on her posts. she had this image imprinted on her ever since she was a child and it made her popular among her peers, but she likes the attention and being liked by others. she was always the kid who shares her snacks with other kids and helps them on their projects. she also likes doing her tasks orderly to avoid stress. she's pretty much the same online, preparing drafts for captions and spending a specific time online to research about new restaurants/meals to try.

BACKGROUND
sohee is the first daughter and the youngest of the family. she has two older brothers, one currently residing in california and the other in seoul but a different district from their household. she's born from a well-off family that manages an international hotel franchise. her father isn't a direct heir of the family business but still currently holds a senior position in the organization's hierarchy. meanwhile, her mother took care of her the most while she also teaches part-time at a university.
when sohee was 5 years old, her family moved to la, california for her brothers to study college in that state and they lived there for 10 years. she studied in an international school and became fluent in english. when she was 15, her family moved back to south korea after her father was given a senior position in their business. her parents never pressured her to do great academically because her older brothers kinda did that role. as the youngest of the family, they also spoil her a lot, letting them do whatever she wants as long as it's harmless. in the last year of high school, her parents suggested her to study college in the us like her brothers did but sohee was in a relationship with sungchan at that time and she didn't want a long-distance relationship so she turned it down. she's also not sure yet if she wants to be involved in the family business.
sohee became a dietary vegan after doing a little study about it. she doesn't participate in activism like ethical vegans but just decided to do it for a healthier diet. later on, it inspired her to also build her own vegan dessert business named vegan patisserie and she started it during the break before her first year of college starts. she mostly bakes by herself and does the packaging and delivery from her home (with the help of sungchan). sohee wanted to start small and do it on her own without the help of her parents to also prove herself to them.

sohee started her own dessert business all by herself with an optimistic mind because she promoted it a lot on her account and she has a lot of followers. she wanted to start small so she only sell cookies. a few months passed and she only gets like a single order per week (other than the ones sungchan and hangyul orders). she's worried if it's because she's still a newbie at business or it's not been getting a lot of reviews. she contacted other foodstagrammers to help her boost the sales by posting about her business. sohee would personally reach out to them irl to hang out and promote her cookies.

sungchan is often mistaken as an introvert because of how chill he is. he's just very easygoing and likes to go with the flow. he can also sometimes appear intimidating because of his build but once people get to talk to him, he knows his way with words and how to make the person comfortable talking. sungchan's definitely a charmer, very flirty and persuasive, used it for sohee, and only reserved it for sohee now. he still uses his persuasive words for debates in class.
sungchan hates being stressed and deals with it through being optimistic (and mostly with memes and humor as his coping mechanism). a bit contradictory that he likes having deep conversations and thinking about it but in real life and with actions, he doesn't really think things through. he can be clumsy about his food, keeps forgetting things, and also impulsively doing anything that seems like a good idea in /theory/. he likes pulling pranks and being playful. the same way with his words where sometimes he can be insensitive (the brutally honest type) and unintentionally hurt someone's feelings from trying to prove his own. to make up for his mistakes, he's actually pretty good at cheering someone up, either making them laugh or doing something unconventional that the other person appreciates.

— sungchan's family is very traditional. he came from a family of doctors and would want him to continue the legacy but he never had an interest in it. his parents had a hard time accepting it at first but finally accepted his decision when he had no plans of changing his mind. they liked sohee and her family (mainly because they're in the same league) and frequently asks sungchan about sohee. they also invite her to a lot of family events (to which sohee joins because she enjoys it).

MEETING
when sohee's family moved back to sk, they live in the same residential area as the jung family and are neighbors with them. they only stole glances with each other from afar until the school year started and they were classmates. some students were gushing about sohee being the new transfer student from the states (and being pretty ofc) while sungchan was whipped as soon as he saw her up close, but made it not obvious when sohee approached him because she recognized him as her neighbor. her first impression of him was nothing special tbh because she also introduced herself to other students that day and had the same impression to everyone else that's 'i hope you guys are nice and i hope you'll like me.'
HISTORY
friendship stage — sohee was friends with almost everyone so sungchan thought he had to stand out. his way of getting closer to her was making her laugh everyday and sohee really found him funny. he would share with her some funny videos and she really enjoyed them. one time, sohee told her mom (she usually drives sohee to school) that she'd go home with sungchan in his bike and the two of them hang out eating street foods. he also learned that she's lactose intolerant when he gave her nutella bungeoppang and she was too busy laughing from sungchan's funny story to notice when she bite into it. she ended up rushing sungchan in his bike as they get home. the two of them made it a habit to go home together when he's not with his friends playing at a pc bang.
confession — they were kinda like best friends at this point and sungchan has been pining for sohee for a few months. he tried to hide his smile whenever she about his 'crush' not knowing it was her. one time while they were walking home, he gave her dairy-free chocolates, to apologize for the previous incident and he also confessed his feelings for her coolly, not pressuring her or anything. sohee really found it thoughtful and accepted his confession immediately. she always liked him as a friend and she was unsure of her feelings until he made his confession.
first time as a couple — it was easy for their classmates and friends to congratulate them (it was kinda expected lol) but sohee and sungchan tried not to be suspicious in front of their families. they would always use school as an excuse as to why they were hanging out all the time. they ended up telling their parents after some gossipy mothers saw them flirting while they went home together. their parents thought their relationship wouldn't last because they were each other's first loves but they were also thankful that it lasted longer (like they don't have to worry about their child ending up with a stranger).

QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS? i messed up with the layout a little (it kinda looks weird on mobile but i hope it's okay on desktop ;;) some 'posts' have multiple photos btw and the relationships sections are also scrollable. this app was really fun to write!!! btw please tell me any mistakes in this app and i'll correct it right away!!
