Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

So I've been thinking, right? There is a lot of story left untold in IKYLM where Leenah is concerned. I've been told in the past by a few readers that they wanted more context to the idol training and idol life part of Leenah's story, and I agree. All of that backstory exists, it just never made it into the story due to Leenah's relationship with Heechul being more important. While editing for the updated version, I still couldn't fit it in without messing with the pacing of the plot I had. And believe me, I contemplated for a long time on how I was gonna fit it in because that was one of my original intentions when I began editing and revising the story. I figured I could just leave it untold and keep it to myself, but now I'm thinking it would work beautifully as it's own stand alone story. It can be read as a prequel for extra insight for people that have already read the story, and at the same time can be a good introduction to the character for a reader who hasn't read the original yet. My only worry is that not enough people will be interested in seeing Leenah all on her own. I mean, not really bc we would see her interact with a lot of people, most of whom we already know, but what I mean is, no Heechul or very little Heechul. Idk yet, but since a lot will be taking place before she even meets Heechul, I wonder if people would be interested in reading a story only about Leenah, and not about Leenah and Heechul. I feel like Heechul and his personality is what made people love IKYLM so much, so he was carrying that story on his back 😂 I think he would still end up being in the story at some point, but idk how I'm doing that yet. So my question for y'all is, would you be interested in having a Leenah centered story? Even if there was little to no Kim Heechul? You can let me know your thoughts in the comments or PM if you'd like. I also made a poll with this question, either yes you would be interested, no not without Heechul as a main character, or you're neutral until it's released then you'll see what you think. Do you think Leenah is a strong enough character and can keep her story interesting without Heechul? Or do I need her and Heechul's personalities bouncing off each other to make it worth reading? If you see this, PLEASE let me know so I have a sense of what I'm working with if I do end up writing it. I personally find her story complex and interesting, but I know most people only read IKYLM over and over for Heechul and his 4D personality. My other thought is to make it kind of like a series where I do this backstory telling with all my original characters like Victoria and her history with wanting to design bc of GDragon, maybe something with the sisters Sungah and SoonYee 👯‍♀️ idk, those are just rough ideas for now that I might not even do. But I think Leenah's story would be the most interesting out of all of them since I've been wanting to tell all of it since the story first came out, it just never happened. And whenever someone asked, I just said it wasn't as important in the story so I didn't include it.
