appearance : the first thing one would see jia is her smile. she has the most beautiful smile ever. she has a tattoo of flowers on her right wrist which she always hid under her uniform sleeve. has brown straight hair cropped at her shoulders that offset her resting face. jia also has wide, doe eyes that always looks curious.

her fellow friends probably would described jia as the type of person you cannot get to know easily. however, they will also acknowledge that jia has the characteristics of a leader and that the other members trust her deeply. she is fast at deciding something and is really good at observing her surrounding whether it's a situational condition or emotional state of her friends. not to mention, she also likes to play games esp rpg video game, it makes her has more 'experience' dealing with situation faced by the group.
she has quite the patience that she's always able to keep a composed look even in the most hectic situations. there's always a sense of stability when you're around jia. another reason why she was chosen as the leader, nah?
BACKGROUND :
her father was a high-profile politician. three years ago, he passed away for unknown reason. jia and her mom didn't even get a chance to see him for the last time. it was hard, days after her father passed away. suddenly came many bills said it was loan took her father which actually didn't make sense but her and her mother didn't have any option aside pay those bills unless they would lose their house.
as time goes by she felt like she couldn't just stay still while her mother work her off to afford their life. thus she found a internet friends, a toxic community, whom encourage her to steal in a supermarket. things in the game obviously 100% different than real life. she thought it'd be easy to get in, took some food, and get away without getting caught.
in fact, just about when she took some food inside her jacket, some security officers came and took her. it was a simple mistake actually. not to mention, she did it because forced by circumstances. but again the media made it big to the point her and her mom need to moved away from incheon and went to seoul so that they could leave their old life behind and start over. besides, her mother's family are all in seoul. so they assume it'll be easier for them to live there.
she thought she could completely forget the mistake she did. too bad, her name still recorded for that small crime. the students in her new school, too, ever heard the news about her, the daughter of passed famous politician steal. so... you can guess it's hard for her to get new friend. her old friends too, all left her after they heard the news about her stealing.

「✕」 hyunjin is a highly ambitious student who never lets his ever-mounting stress and exhaustion of non-stop studying show visibly. he is laid-back and outspoken, once saying "crap" in class.
「✕」 while he initially acts very coldly towards jia, this was because he thought she was a problematic person and felt unfit to deal with the kind of trouble she could bring. but as time goes by, he realizes that there is more to her than her criminal record and thus becomes more understanding and willing to listen, showing him more compassionate side. this coldness also applies to hyunwoo as well, as he warns jia to keep her distance from him and that he is nothing but trouble.
love story :
maybe opposite-attract law really exist in this world. though she has bunch of admirers in this new school, she never really attracted to them. instead, her attention somehow stolen by the nerd hwang hyunjin. it was her first time crushing on someone.
jia isn't typical of person who good at interacting with strangers. even to her crush, she'd be stay silent for most of times. will not starting the conversation unless hyunjin initiates it.
hyunjin at the other side, refuses to interact with jia at all. but as he sees her quite impressive academics, and finds her cheeky remarks amusing, started to fall for her.
he is something of a hopeless romantic, though both her crushing self-loathing and ambition to maintaining his perfect gpa cause him to feel that he doesn't have any time to experience such things. still, he enjoys cheesy romantic lines and is more than willing to throw some himself. when hyunjin started to warming up, sometimes jia would throw some cheesy lines and makes him laugh. he might act like he just like those lines as a solace, but deep inside, he takes those words seriously.
he takes being in a relationship seriously, delaying him response when jia confesses to him and refusing at first because of his situation as a scholarship student. he can't ruin his focus by enganging himself in a relationship. it is only because jia confessing to her and her willingness to be with him that convinces hyunjin to start dating her while also working hard to maintain his grade.
