general ／ roleplay etiquette

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ FIRST and foremost,we want our roleplay to be a positive, social and interactive place, where people won’t be selective and talk only to their cliques, as this is a problem in many other roleplays. if you join the roleplay, please stay active and open to new people in your character’s life. give everyone a fair chance.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ WELCOMING is very important to us. so when you are joining, you are required to post introduction of your character in introduction group and comment some of the old introductions - this is how everyone reaches out for everyone and there shouldn't be a situation where your muse doesn't have anyone to talk to. please don't join if you're going to bubble roleplay and ignore everyone else besides your groupmates / friends. 

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ MUSES must be internationally (19) years of age or older to join. no exceptions will be made. muns have to be years old.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ABSOLUTELY no any kind of chasing, and we want to remind everyone that everything doesn’t revolve around ! we accept all ualities, but regardless of your muse’s uality, they are required to talk to everyone.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ FOR NOW, we only accept artists/personalities that are (or were, e.g. ex members) active in the korean entertainment industry. we do not allow athletes, deceased idols or stars, as well as those who explicitly stated they do not wish to be roleplayed (i.e. iu, christian yu, etc. we have banned faceclaim list under our masterlist)

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ WE ARE  a semi literate, bordering on literate roleplay. avoid excessive usage of one-liners, emoticons or abbreviations. all posts should be directed as (@username)

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ REFRAIN  from gossiping, or bringing up your muse’s past relationships / beef with muns. it dampens the mood and makes roleplaying uncomfortable to many people.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ IC DRAMA is accepted, but dragging it out of character is not. we understand that feelings get involved, but this is roleplay. we’re here to roleplay, not have ooc relationships. (we’re not against them though, we let all the flowers bloom, but please don’t make a mess ♡)

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀TO SUSTAIN  a good writing atmosphere, we highly suggest to stray away from ooc drama. if you’re caught bullying any of our members, we will not hesitate to remove you from the roleplay. evidence is crucial, meaning you can’t accuse someone of problematic behavior without proof to back your claims up.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ it should go without saying, but don’t mix ooc and ic. one’s actions ic do not reflect their morals and values ooc. if you have to speak ooc, for plotting or entertainment purposes, be sure to indicate that you are doing so (most typically put their ooc thoughts in brackets or parentheses). if an issue ever gets out of hand, we will be forced to remove you (or the person in question) from the roleplay.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀LET  your muse’s personality shine. don’t post too much about their schedule. remember, your account is their private profile, not a fan or news account.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ INSTEAD of posting lewld content in groups, muses are allowed to post lewdl content directly on their timeline. BUT all videos and nudes that reveals ia should go to our RATED group.


⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ BE A FAIR PLAYER; don’t metagame, godmod, or fourthwall. if you don’t know what any of these terms mean, you can ask from the admins or google it. don't use your second character (or third) to snoop what other muses might think of your muse (especially if it's about romance)

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ROLEPLAY  isn’t, and has never been, solely about romance. we’ve implemented a (2) week dating ban so there is no otp or face-chasing going around. interact with everyone, not just your muse’s love interest! moving couples are allowed. relationships, exclusive or not, are welcome. pregnancy is allowed, but no mpreg.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ BE CREATIVE with your interactions. AVOID the generic, “hi, my name is ___” or even worse, "welcome here.". if you’re struggling, message the admins and we’ll help you out!

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ KNOW  your character well enough to know their label mates and group mates. nothing is more embarrassing than introducing your character to your own label mate or to their best friend like they don’t know each other.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ MOST IMPORTANTLY, forget all of your grudges when you enter this roleplay, as in give people the chance of having a fresh start. this is very important, and we couldn’t emphasize this rule more. we all join roleplays to have fun and everyone has a history, some parts aren’t that smooth and nice: mental breakdowns, misunderstandings ic or ooc, incompatibility with typists, whatever it might be… forget about it. whether it grew from other roleplays or whatever the reason might be, no one has the right to go defaming another member. there are always two sides to a story and the one side you’ve heard about might not be right, so please don’t let anyone influence your judgement. let’s give everyone the chance to redeem themselves and not drag them down for their mistakes they’ve made in the past!

reserving ／ applying
 

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ APPLY with a decently active sns account (tumblr, aff). if you’re afraid your account doesn’t meet our activity standards, message us so we can talk about it. reservations last (48) hours.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ we don’t accept anon reservations, sorry!

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ EACH mun is allowed a maximum of (3) muses within the roleplay (if you are active enough, you can have 4. but you need to ask permission for it!), considering they’re from different groups. however, you can roleplay former and current members (e.g. kyungsoo and tao).

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ FACE SWAPS are allowed, but limited to (3). in both cases, you must be active and there has to be a gap of (2) weeks before requesting them. p@ssw0rd how often do you need to make wall posts to be deemed active? (this is a question.)
 

setting up your account

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ YOU HAVE (48) hours to create your account and add the admins. keep your name romanized! (e.g. kim taehyung) we WILL NOT accept nicknames, STAGE NAMES or special characters.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ PLACE a water wave 🌊 emoji somewhere on your profile so we know you’re part of the roleplay.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ KEEP your profile updated and make statuses as often as you can. double posting (even triple!!) is much appreciated.

activity ／ hiatus ／ departure
 

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ the emojis. we understand, it’s a quick way to let people know you’re still alive, but it’s also the reason why roleplays are so damn dry nowadays. instead of leaving that emoji, how about comment the post instead? comments comes always first! in any scenario!

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀  MANDATORY welcoming! we expect you to comment introductions post at least few times a day as new members are coming in a good flow every day. 

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀  UNBIASED, so it means no leaving emojis' only to your friends (ic/ooc) or having a circle jerk within your clique. Talk to everyone, intreact with everyone and give a fair chance to everyone be a part of your character's life. 

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ HATCHET BURYING ZONE which means that when you enter in this roleplay, you'll drop all the grudges towards anyone you might have them and start from the clean slate. As long as nothing drama wise happens in Spirit Rush, there's no reason to talk ill about the person in question (ic nor ooc). If they bring their dirty laundry to Spirit Rush, then there's a reason to to come to the admin instead of spreading it around among the members.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ EMOJIS - THERE'S NO SUCH A THING AS SKIPPING SOMEONE'S STATUS WHEN LEAVING THEM. They're not the most important part of the roleplay, but when you ARE leaving those emojis, DO NOT SKIP people for whatever reason it is. We are all about inclusiveness. If we see someone skipping certain members, we will shoot a reminder of that to their way. and if this behaviour continues, we WILL remove you from the roleplay. 

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ INACTIVITY of (72) hours following your arrival will result in immediate removal from the roleplay. changing your display picture or header, as well as being active in the group chats does not not count as activity.

you need to post your introduction and something on your timeline to stay in the roleplay!

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ We have all the rights to remove a mun who is facehogging or coming around only to post something so they won't get removed from the roleplay. If this is obvious, we can remove the person in question before their 6th day of inactivity.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ YOU'LL  be removed from the roleplay after 6 days of inactivity (if there's no posts on your timeline. Commenting other posts, introductions or hiding in dms doesnt' count! WE CHECK WALLS REGULARLY, EVERY WEEK.)  So please keep your timeline active!

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ SEMI-HIATUSES last (2) weeks, while a full hiatus lasts a month. you may request an extansion, if necessary. you’re obligated to inform us of your departure. this can be done via tumblr or asianfanfics. deleting your account without any prior notice will have you banned from the roleplay. if yo uare found to be inactive, you will be prohibited from re-applying for a week.

⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ NO ADVERTISING. Mass advertising of your / someone else’s roleplay is not allowed without the admin team’s explicit permission. Inviting a few close friends / partners to try a new roleplay in tandem is fine, but it is disrespectful to try to poach active members with ill-intent or even guide them to leave this roleplay because of one’s disgruntlement or disagreement with the admin team or how spirit rush operates.
